[Hiring] Looking for creature/alien design commissions. [$60-180]
I'm a sci-fi/fantasy writer, amongst other things. I've created several alien species, and a few still need visual references.
So, I'm posting here. What I need is someone who:
-Has experience drawing nonhumans, whether aliens, monsters, or animals,
-Is reasonably fluent in English, as we're going to have to engage in some back-and-forth discussion. I have some references to use as a starting point, but I'm going to have to explain how to change them.
-Some of those starting points may be GenAI images, so I need someone who's okay with me using those as references. I find that GenAI can be useful as concept art - but what I really need is an actual, human-drawn image, by a human who can actually understand what I want. Hence, this post. (I think I'm allowed to mention that as long as I don't post any such AI images here?)
I'd also like commercial use rights, but that's not essential. I'd also prefer someone with a realistic or semi-realistic art style, as opposed to something more... cartoony.
Post in the comments if you are interested. Please include portfolio links, or whatever handles you have on art sites.
