DIY Custom Pickguard Colour for pac012?

I'm a newbie and got a beginner pac012, but want to make it more cool looking. Problem is very little stores sell pac012 pickguards in Canada, much less unique colours and designs (I'm specifically looking for a dark pink one). Could I sand down then spray paint/ trace some vinyl(/also open to other ideas) one side of a clear pickguard and then put that side toward the body of the guitar to get my desired colour pick guard? So the untouched side will be the side that's actually getting grazed on by pick.

Any and all advice is appreciated!

Both sides of hair flipping out to same direction

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE having short hair, problem is, both sides of my hair stick out to the same side and is just very unflattering. I usually need to use a hair straightener to flip it out and it can just get super tedious especially as a low maintenance person--is there a solution to this? I would rather it stick out in all directions like in the photos I included. I read online it's because of my cowlick but would having layers help? Please give me ANY suggestions I hate having long hair but also hate needing to style my short hair each morning😭
