Went to visit the sister and bro-in-law and check out his vintage Lego sets. He’s the a complete Black Seas Barracuda! M-Tron also complete, no box or instructions and a ~95% complete Monorail Transport System. Front flap of that box has been torn and lost 😞

But it’s super cool seeing these late 80s/early 90s sets in person! Think he might have some castle stuff still in storage too!

I told him I’m surprised he’s keep a lot of his toys as complete as they are since childhood. He’s got all his original video game systems (Nintendo, sega, Super Nintendo, etc.) with original boxes. Same for all his games! And vintage 80s transformers and GI Joes still sealed. It’s crazy! Anyways, just felt like sharing part of his collection.

It’s been several months since I’ve been to Book Off. decided to check it out and they had quite the selection of boutique stuff. Some movies even had their slipcovers (this location notoriously doesn’t have slips). I’m thinking someone offloaded their collection. They always have Criterion so I wasn’t surprised bout that but found a bunch of Arrow, Vinegar and 88Films stuff. Didn’t get anything because it’s a little too pricy for me.

My little B&N pick up today. Also spoke with some young physical media collectors at the store. Cool seeing young kids know a thing or two about classic films! They also put me on to some movies I might pick up next time. I thought they were gonna call me “Unc” at one point haha

1. Trainspotting is the first movie I’m gonna see. Been wanting to pick this up for a min but never liked the old digipack

Surprisingly Amazon hasn’t let me down in terms of steelbook damage! Expect the 4k disc was loose inside the case but it appears to have no scratches. Also got Knights Tale and BHD. Been wanting these forever but didn’t wanna pay crazy reseller’s prices. Happy to have gotten them for retail.

Side note: Amazon let me down on delaying my Speedeacer 4k steel! Ordered that forever ago and now delayed to “Sept 27th” smh
