the before was a client's actual living room. red wall, random furniture, felt kind of heavy and closed off. whole thing is a living/dining/kitchen combo so the tricky part was splitting it up without building walls.

Ended up doing this walnut cabinet standing vertical as a divider. tv faces the living room, open shelves in the middle so you can still see through, and the back of it is a spice rack for the kitchen. kind of proud of that piece honestly. kept the kitchen white as the base and let the color happen around it. still not sure the orange beam was the right call but it grew so much on me.

For this guest room, I spent time thinking about how these spaces are often treated, like a place for a random couch or extra storage just whatever doesn't fit in the home. So I tried to make a small reivindication that they really matter and may add joy to everyday life even with no guests around.
