Why inside of my room burns like oven

This room is between the ground and first floor and we use it as a study room. 3 walls of this room are in direct contact of sunlight which makes it difficult to sit in this room even for a second in summers. Also the fan would blow the hot air these days. Pls suggest some ways to cool down my microwave themed room 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

Finally finished our DIY Home Theatre room! (1-year weekend project with my dad)

Super excited to finally share this, our home theatre is actually done!

For context, we live in a 4BHK and it's just me and my parents. We had this spare room that was basically just a dumping ground for empty boxes and old luggage for years. About a year ago, my dad and I decided to clear the junk and turn it into a movie room. We DIY-ed the aesthetic, and it turned into this massive weekend bonding project.

It tested my patience, but we finally got the tech set up this week and I am super happy with how it turned out.

To keep the room looking clean, we avoided mounting a giant black TV and just grabbed a little portable smart projector instead. It keeps the wall looking minimal when we aren't using it, but still gives that proper cinema vibe.

For seating, my dad has awful back stiffness, so sitting upright for 3 hours on a standard couch wasn't happening. We decided to splurge and got a motorised massage recliner. Honestly, it was a great shout. It's electric so he doesn't have to aggressively kick a manual footrest down when the movie is over, and it has a built-in massager that he absolutely abuses the second the credits roll.

It took a whole year of weekends to put this together, but having a proper movie night in here with my parents made all the effort 100% worth it.

Need suggestions for good color combinations of cabinet that would go with ruby red sofa, wooden dining table and light color walls

Suggest some designs that I can apply to my home

It looks so plain for me so I want some modern touch before plaster that I can suggest to the contractor

I painted this wall intuitively — what does it tell ?

I painted this directly on my living room wall over time without using references or copying any style. I didn’t plan the full composition either — I just kept drawing whatever naturally came to mind.

Interestingly, when I showed it to ChatGPT,🫣it interpreted the art in two completely opposite ways:
Like something straight out of a

  1. kindergarten/play school wall; Like 2. psychedelic/hippie-inspired art

The funny thing is… I don’t relate to either of those worlds.

I’m actually more of a quiet reader type. I have a mini library directly opposite this wall, and the rest of my house walls are completely blank and minimal.
So now I’m genuinely curious:
What kind of personality does this art suggest to you?
What emotions or mindset do you think created something like this?

I’d love honest interpretations — artistic, psychological, emotional, or even brutally objective ones.

Help me with decor! Small sized room :(

Hi y'all! I recently moved to a new flat and have finally set up all the basics in my room.

I want to make it prettier and do not want to use any floor space as the room is quite small. I can put stuff up on the wall but can't put any nails in or drill or repaint.

Kindly suggest renter friendly ideas 💡

Appreciate it

Need advice for a 12x10 bedroom

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some design and layout help from the experts on this sub.

The room is 12x10 feet.

Right now, we have a bed, a table, and a chair in the room.

Our main priority is to figure out the best way to accommodate a wardrobe. We are perfectly fine with removing the table and chair to free up space if needed.

Fixed Constraints to keep in mind:

Preference to keep the bed as it is as it’s the best sleeping direction (south wall).

The East wall has a large door leading out to a balcony, so that pathway must remain clear.

I would love to hear your ideas on how to best configure this space!

My room 19M

Took inspirations from various places and my own ideas to put it together with the help of our Contractor, Everyone who comes in so far has loved it. How did i do? Would love to hear suggestions from everyone here :)

Edit: Yes the bathroom is smallest of all 3. It used to be a Common Washroom (just the Toilet) in the passage so shifted the door and added a shower in it.😭😭
