Rolling mop vs spinning pads on wood floors with deep grain

I live in a 500 year old house, the floor is the original hardwood which unlike modern wood floorings has some pretty deep grain in places. Are roller mops still better for this type of floor, will it actually get in the cracks, or is the fluffier spinning style mop better at this.

I'm probably looking at the Roborock Saros 20 or the Narwal Flow 2

Narwal Flow 2 UK Release

Does anyone know when the Narwal Flow 2 is due for release in the UK and the expected cost. Trying to decide if it's worth the wait

Hi, I'm looking to get a new Robovac/mop but I'm in a very old house which has steps to nearly every room so I'm looking for a robot that can have loads of maps. Most I find seem to be limited to 4/5 but I would need a minimum of 8 (probably more) as it won't be able to climb the step between every room.

Alternatively, how good are robovacs if you don't map and just drop it in a room and ask it to vacuum/mop?

Budget is not a concern, I just want something that works for this weird setup of my house.

I live in a super old house which has a lot of small steps and floors, outbuildings etc but still would prefer to have a robovac/mop. It's mostly hard wood floorings with rugs.

I'm looking for something that can store 5+ maps.

Also, if I run out of maps do they work if I chuck it in a room/outbuilding and just set it off?
