I'd love feedback on my Gravity turn to orbit please - I've read a lot but plenty of it disagrees and I'm not sure I'm doing it right!
So A - I know I got to orbit, so clearly it's not totally stupid but I'd love to know if the rules I tried to follow make sense and if you would do it differently please.
Numbered stages so I can refer to them more easily
I'll lay them out here:
- Very small turn to the east then onto prograde basically right off the pad (any larger turn causes the rocket to get pulled down by it's rather heavy top stage)
Does that seem sensible? Would another TWR target at different stages be advised?
Thank you very much!
Edit - ahh I'm sorry i edited it to remove referance to the video (that didn't work) and deleated most of my steps, sorry about that.
edit 2 - thanks all, applying some suggestions just on piloting I got to orbit with 2755 rather than 2450 km/s left. Nice! (still more to do on re-designing but just as a pure test of doing it diffrently I'm very happy
