The Witch's Pet

As I continue to absolutely devour recommendations from this subreddit, I ran into The Witch's Pet and I am legitimately enjoying it, but...

The witch in question acts like a Sanderson sister straight out of the English colonies. She's from 1891 and acts like she doesn't understand buses and cars. Meanwhile, trains, cable cars and *actual cars* were invented prior to 1891.

Historical anachronisms don't usually bother me but these are hitting me like a brick. Like, electricity and telephones weren't common, but the technology was decades old by 1891.

I just want logic gates

I know it won't happen and I don't even blame TFP, but every time I start wiring my base with electricity I realize how limited I am by a lack of logic mechanisms.

At least you can jerry rig an OR gate for doors by daisy chaining the motion sensors, but I'd love the ability to create more complex systems. Even having an Default On/Default Off switch would help immensely.
