Sire guitars - good "for the money", or just good?

I've ben playing acoustic for a long time and have been thinking about getting an electric. Right now, I'm kind of all over the place - considering strats, teles and ES335-style guitars.

For strats and teles, I'm looking at Fender Player IIs, and Sire S7/T7s. For the ES-335 route, I'm looking at the the Epiphone 1962 ES-335 reissue and the Sire H7 or H7V.

I keep hearing that Sires are great "for the money". Are they good "for the money", or are they good? I understand that they punch above their weight, but how much above?

In terms of overall quality, would I be better off with an ~$800 Sire, or do I get something better spending a little more for a MiM Fender or the Epiphone?

Are Sires genuinely competing with those guitars, or mostly just overperforming in the sub-$1000 price bracket?

Has anyone received replies from Jordi lately? I sent him a support request and a follow up, but it's been over a week and I haven't heard anything back so far. That's a bit surprising as he's usually very responsive in my experience.
