I’m aware Payday 3 is in a poor state and Starbreeze are prioritising making the core game better right now, with content on the back burner, a “Operation Medic Bag 2.0” so to speak, but MAN, I really miss events.

Halloween and Christmas heists, silly April fools updates (which even payday 2 got this year from sidetrack), crimefests, I really miss that type of stuff. Now, crimefest I don’t ever expect us to see again, due to console certification, they can’t pump out daily updates like they could with Payday 2. But doing nothing for the holidays feels like such a shame, especially when they were a STAPLE of Payday 2. Even outside of holidays, just any events would be nice. So far we have had one, and it was mask mania, and it was fucking atrocious, but the takeaway for starbreeze shouldn’t be “ok let’s not do any events again”, it should be “Well that fucking stank, how do we make our next event actually really cool and engaging?”

Anyways, mini-rant over. As I said, I am aware that their focus right now is improving the core experience of payday 3 but I do hope that we see a lot more events in the future, they are sorely missed

I appreciate them having actual communication with us that matters and that it’s consistent. We always know what they’re working on, they actively listen to our feedback, it just feels nice. I also really like Andrej, he’s a very charismatic guy and seems to know what the fanbase wants. Appreciate the roadmaps we get also, knowing what’s coming in the next three months gives us a lot to talk about and get hyped for.

Furthermore, I feel like they’re very fair with DLC prices for payday 3 (I’m aware the recent price changes made a lot of old PD2 content more expensive, which isn’t something I can really defend), the new pricing system means we’ll always know how much an upcoming heist or weapon pack will cost, and we should avoid a Delivery Charge or, god forbid, Syntax Error situation (€17 for that went fucking crazy). If starbreeze keep up this pace consistently, I think we’ll be very happy heisters

Also, with payday 2, sidetrack have been doing amazing work. The April fools update was great, the espionage weapons pack was a very pleasant surprise, I’m excited to see more work from them.

Obviously not everything they’ve done has been perfect the last while, they’ve done some scummy things, but overall, their output speaks for itself. AK is really focusing on making Payday the best it can be because he recognises it’s all Starbreeze really has.
