What is the penalty for swiggy or any other food delivery platform if they delay to provide resolution/delay delivery after requesting cancellation/charge you the full amount you paid for food while you waited 40 mins for them to respond??? Today i placed order with swiggy and there was no delivery partner assigned. Autobot kept of commiting that partener will be assigned in next 5 mins again and again. I got irritated and raised the request to cancel the order. Autobot confirmed that I will get the full refund and directed me to swiggy rep. Only there was no rep. I waited for 20 mins to get any response from swiggy and end of it I got tired thinking whatever, they will call. after 20 mins, a rep pings and ask why do you want to cancel the order, except i fell asleep as it was 11:45 by this time. He made no call and said that delivery will be done in 5 mins. Mind you I wasn't aware of any of it, because least they could have done is to make a call when it is late night about whether to go ahead with cancellation or delivery. and at 11:57 delievry guy was at door calling me to pick up order. When i asked them to cancel it, on call they said it will be refunded in 2 hours. But i got the message that they had charged my whole food amount as cancellation. So here I am, paying for the mistakes done by swiggy to first not being able to find delivery guy and for delayed support. Why do i have to bear these charges when swiggy walks clean and also the fudging rep who talked liked an entitled brat????
