Ah So Yum served us a non-veg bao instead of a veg one. What can be done?
Yesterday we ordered from Ah So Yum on Swiggy. One of the items was the Veg Say Cheese Bao.
Unfortunately, we were served what appeared to be a non-vegetarian bao instead. We only realized it after taking a bite. Two of us are strict vegetarians, and the realization made us throw up.
We immediately called the restaurant and spoke to the manager. While the mistake was acknowledged, there was no meaningful effort to understand how such a serious lapse happened or to make things right.
This isn't just a wrong order. For many people, vegetarianism is based on religious beliefs, ethics, or dietary restrictions. Serving non-vegetarian food instead of a vegetarian order is a serious quality control failure. Customers shouldn't have to inspect every bite before eating.
I've already raised the issue with Swiggy, but I genuinely don't think a simple apology is an adequate response for something like this.
Has anyone dealt with something similar?
- Can this be reported to FSSAI?
- Is there any consumer forum or legal action that can be taken in cases where a restaurant serves non-vegetarian food instead of a vegetarian order?
- Has anyone successfully held either the restaurant or Swiggy accountable for something like this?

No refund / replacement On Damaged Product
I ordered two nakpro whey from it as they were in offer for 999 each only , but recieved one of them to be damaged contacted chat support they denied as there bot image verification denied provided video proofs also but no proper resolution yet please guide me what to do
100% cancellation fee on Instamart orders makes no sense.
As the title says... I don't understand why they are charging a 100% cancellation fee on Instamart orders and that too when it's not even out for delivery yet.
Also there's no 1 minute cancellations window. If you order something by mistake, want to add something extra, change an item. You have no choice. 100% amount gone.
Bought a packet of coke zero
So I bought this packet of coke zero about 2 days ago, finished more than half the packet and this is what I found inside it today. Honestly raises serious concerns about health and storage conditions
iPad purchase through Instamart
I recently bought an iPad 11” (A16, 128GB) from Swiggy Instamart for ₹34,900.
I paid ₹20,000 using Swiggy gift vouchers purchased with my HDFC Infinia card. (10K with add on card)
Remaining amount using my SBI Cashback credit card.
The deal seemed too good to pass up, but after purchasing, I couldn’t find this price anywhere else. Most websites either show it as ₹49,900 or it’s out of stock.
I also checked the serial number on Apple’s warranty page, and it shows the device details correctly with the warranty activated.
My questions are:
Has anyone here purchased Apple products from Swiggy Instamart?
Is it a reliable place to buy Apple devices?
Could I face any issues in the future regarding Apple’s warranty, service, or authenticity?
Has anyone had to claim warranty for an Apple product purchased through Instamart?

Swiggy Toing refuses to deliver or refund
I ordered Domino’s through the Swiggy Toing app and paid ₹239 online. The food was never delivered. The recipient did not receive a call. Still, the order was conveniently marked as “delivered”.
So I contacted support. They asked whether I wanted a refund or a replacement. I chose a replacement because the food was needed at that time. Simple, right?
Apparently not.
The replacement order arrived, but the delivery person asked for ₹315. Why? For what? I had already paid for the original order. The replacement was supposed to fix their failed delivery, not become a new paid order. Also, the original order was ₹239, so how did this magically become ₹315?
Obviously, I refused to pay.
Then I went back to support and asked for a refund. At one point, they even asked whether they should process a refund of ₹239, and then immediately told me to ignore that message. After wasting more time, they finally said they could not initiate a refund and could not offer any compensation.
So let me understand this business model:
Take the customer’s money.
Do not deliver the order.
Mark it as delivered.
Offer a replacement.
Ask the customer to pay again for the replacement.
Then refuse a refund or compensation.
Brilliant system.
Edit: FYI, I have not been to India for the last 5 years. Too many people coming up with ways to overcome this kind of experience. I appreciate it. But the root problem is here the business commiting fraud. If you find other ways, what is the guarantee the business will stop commiting frauds ? People should stand up against frauds

Swiggy is adding new fees every month
First it was delivery fee, okay understood. Then handling fee, fair enough. Then they introduced a platform fee for the tech, agreed. Now a convenience fee on top of that for verifying age for tobacco products? Swiggy just keeps finding reasons to add new charges every other month.

In the end, KFC cancelled it from their side. Wasted so much time. If there aren't any delivery partners available, just don't accept my order swiggy.

First of all why even use AI to create photos of most common food items ? Even if you have to, at least make it look as close to the item. What prompt do you think they used ?

I ORDERED TODAY(2 JULY) RECEIVED AN EXPIRED PRODUCT
TALKED TO THEIR "AGENT". THEY KEEP ON REPEATING THE SCRIPT "CANNOT VALIDATE". THE EXPIRY DATE CAN BE CLEARLY SEEN THEN HOW IS IT NOT VALIDATED.
THREE CALLS LATER AND ONE EMAIL CONVO LATER STILL SAME REPLY. ABSOLUTE WORSE.
WHILE TALKING TO THEIR AGENTS THE CALL IS BEING CUT WHILE I'M SPEAKING. NO MANNERS NOTHING. YOU ARE DONE SWIGGY INSTAMART.
Bengaluru Never Fails to Surprise Me
Today I accidentally got a glimpse of the other side of quick commerce.
I ordered a roll of sellotape. My cart was below the minimum order value, so I added a KitKat to cross the limit.
A few minutes later, the order got split into two deliveries.
Then the delivery partner carrying just the KitKat called me.
He said, “Bhaiya, is ek chocolate ke liye mujhe lagbhag 4 km aana padega. Agar main ye deliver karne aaunga, to shayad ek accha order miss ho jayega. Main aapko ₹20 UPI kar deta hoon. Aap please order receive mat kijiye.”
I was surprised, but agreed. Within seconds, he transferred ₹20 to my UPI.
Out of curiosity, I asked why.
He explained that the morning hours are when they get the best long-distance orders, which pay better. Spending that time delivering a single ₹20 chocolate just didn’t make sense economically.
That one phone call said more about the economics of gig work than any report could.
Sometimes the smallest interactions reveal how these systems actually work behind the scenes.

Can an address save on Swiggy without placing an order?
Hey guys, need some technical clarity on how the app handles addresses.
A while back, my partner and I opened the Swiggy app late at night at a specific location just to check if services were available. Because of heavy rain, the zone was completely locked out/closed- no items could be added to the cart, and absolutely nothing was ordered. We just opened the app, saw it was closed, and closed it.
Cut to a month later and that exact same location is now showing up as one of the permanent options in the saved delivery address list on the account.
Is it technically possible for a glitch to permanently save an address to your history just from a GPS ping on a closed screen? Or does an address ONLY show up there if an actual order went through at some point, or if it was manually added?
Swiggy Delivers Without Carry Bag
So Recently I order from Swiggy (Domino's Veg Parcel)
He came late he had a brown bag which I think dominos gave to deliver and then he put his hands in the carry bag and starts handing me my food items one by one.
First of all I think I paid delivery+ packaging charges so I think i should receive full carry bag with it .
And 2nd thing these deliveries guys ride all day in dust and i don't know what else they touch building railings etc.
So he handing out me my food items 1 by 1 , along with tissue totally looked unhygienic, he is supposed to give me whole carry bag for that reason Domino's always provide whole carry bag instead handing seprate items to them.
I tried ask queries related to this in support and you know now everything is being done by ai
You can't reach live support (actual people at all)
These app has predefined FAQs and all even their number doesn't work.
(Also their are types of people who avoid calls and prefers chats because they feel more comfortable that way).
I don't think I will order again from Swiggy.
