
The Nutrition and Exercise Performance Research Group (NEP) is looking for recreationally active adults (19–40 years old) to participate in a nutrition and exercise study.
This research investigates how specific food combinations (e.g., potato + beef) affect muscle protein synthesis and whole-body protein utilization after resistance exercise. 💪🥔🥩
📌 What participation involves:
- 2 hrs preliminary testing + 2 full-day trials (~9.5 hours each) → ~21 hrs total
- 2 free dinner before trials + 2 experimental meals during trials
- Muscle, blood, urine and breath samples collection
- Lower-body workouts included 🏋️
💵 Compensation: $300 + personalized body composition and caloric needs information
