So, as relatively complex as Fallout games usually are, and, despite the general idea, things aren't always doom and gloom, I really prefer to explore the darker, deeper parts of any FO game (usually vaults with some unsettling backstories that you discover in the process of exploring them, sewers, metro tunnels and such). In other words, something with survival horror vibes, especially if I can take my time there.
In FoLON I discovered Greenwich Crematorium a while ago, but I'd never entered it before, because I thought that, surely, such a place must be related to some quest. But, since, so far, I haven't gotten any quest for it, my curiosity got the better of me. I strongly prefer that side of Thames for quite a few reasons, and I think it's one of a few places I never explored there, though I don't claim I've discovered everything.
And, oh my God, the crematorium is the darkest, most atmospheric place in the game. It's just different. The journal adds to the experience. And even the music is unique there, which is refreshing. The layout and the fact that you don't expect it to go so deep is also very interesting to me. Not even Bethlem or the location where you find Mittenlurk Queen gave me such a thrill, even though I enjoyed them as well.
I definitely wouldn't mind more. If anybody has any recommendations for similar places or anything that comes close in terms of atmosphere, please, let me know.
Also, feel free to share your experience with locations that make your hair stand on end.
