Hi all, asking for a friend that is going through a contentious divorce. The STBX refinanced the house to get her name off the mortgage, but the divorce isn't finalized yet. In fact, it's still really early on in the process. Did she just get screwed out of any value in the house or bargaining chips? She is the main breadwinner and has paid the majority of the mortgage their entire marriage as he can barely keep a job and when he has one it's part time. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
