Hello everyone, this is my child first year playing softball we are half way through the season, and iv noticed a pattern of the coaches wife nit picking kids (not just one multiple) bouncing around talking to other parents about others child’s performance during the game. She talk negatively towards parents as well. And yells using profanity around the children and you can tell it changes the demeanor of the children. They get scared or puzzled / confused look on their faces… she is not a coach she is just there. The coach often tells her to relax. She always talking about fighting someone for no apparent reason. The hostile behavior makes me think she could be drinking alcohol before games, (I’m unsure) but this behavior isn’t normal. I’m unsure how to address the situation. She has come to me talking about other kids and I stay quiet listening to her downgrade players. Because I’m new to this environment. A lot of parents on the team seem to dismiss her fast when she’s out making conversation, This is a rec team. Just to add… but I feel this needs to be further addressed with maybe the head of staff over the rec sports…
