unfortunately i think i may have bought a pretty convincing fake this morning at a local store. i knew it was a bit risky since its the store is local, but i know of a few other local stores who do sell authentic needohs, so i thought it would be worth a shot since it looked pretty convincing. but now the more i look into it, i’m not so sure it is real :(. can anyone help me determine if it is a fake?
NeeDohs have been around for years. Recently my 3 year old found my fidget drawer and wiped me out. I've been on a mission to restock my stash and now there is a whole war out there with these things- which has bled over into Speks as well. What happened? Poor toy store people having to answer the same question about NeeDohs 20 million times a day. Restocks are swarmed and gone within an hour. I went to our local toy store for other things and within the 30 minutes I was there- at least 6 people came in and either asked about them or went to where they'd be to find they weren't there and left.
What did I miss in the world where everyone has lost their minds over these things?

I love the Teenie Cool Cats. So soft and the filling is semi-firm. I'm glad as I thought they would be too soft. Managed to get all the different colours and none of the designs are duplicates.
Even though I already have a pack of Teenie Fuzz Balls, I bought another pack to get the blue Teenie Fuzz ball.
I got two colour changing cubes and I was hoping to get a blue one as I already have the pink but at least one was yellow. The extra pink one will probably go on my local Facebook market place for retail price.
If I were to do a needoh/squishy basket raffle as a fundraiser…which ones should I be on the lookout for and realistically would this be a good fundraiser

I work at a card shop, we primarily sell Pokemon cards (both singles and sealed product, though mostly singles for obvious reasons). It's been a good time. I love my regulars, it's a hobby I enjoy that I get to work in, we have a zero tolerance policy for resellers, and I like my coworkers.
Ever since the squishy craze took off, we started stocking some. Mostly the bootleg dumplings and the real NeeDoh cubes and squishy butters.
They have since started outselling cards to the point where it's the only thing being purchased in the register every time we take a look at our transactions. Our squishy stock increases every time I go to work. My regulars are coming in less and less because the squishy people are too much. The Needohs have cannibalized a card case. Anyone coming in to sell cards to us has used at least some of the money they get out of it to buy a fucking squishy.
This stupid fucking craze has changed me from someone working in card games into a fucking squishy peddler. It has changed a job I loved being at to just regular degular retail bullshit with the added bonus of needing to deal with insufferable squishy people and obnoxious 12 year olds.
I hope tiktok moves on to its next hyperfixation soon and that it's not something my store has access to because never before has a shop simply carrying a product made me consider quitting.
I don't even care if you're not a scalper and genuinely like these stupid things. Your hobby is actively ruining my job and my mental and you should feel bad.
I am obsessed with the mello mallo, it feels like a less sticky globble. And the fuzzball has such an interesting feeling but the squish is great. I’m not huge on the jelly squish tbh

I literally have only been playing with them for 1 day and my green one has started to be super sticky and be shiny rather than matte looking I HATE it. I want my soft, matte, dough texture back 😭 I ran it under water with a little soap trying to wash off the sticky and it felt worse after. will this happen to all of them!? (yes it’s authentic I don’t have the box with me)
Waterstones are selling these. They were all released within 2 days. If it is AI (which I believe it to be) then why is Waterstones allowing this? I thought they were a proper book shop. It seems to me it's just a random "author" taking advantage of the new NeeDoh trend.
Anyone know where to get a nice cube with how popular they’ve been in on the spectrum and use it to fidget a lot and mine broke the plug popped out. And I haven’t been able to find any.

Edit: I ended up giving in and ordering one. I already have three Dream Drops but only 2 blue and 1 purple... I really want the pink. If it isn't the colour I want, I'll probably put it on my local Facebook marketplace for the price I paid for it. So if you live in the north of England, keep an eye open in case lol
