retiring and new job

Lately I have just been feeling done. I have 30 years service and am old enough to retire. Pension not enough to live on though. I have been offered a job outside of government completely in a few field (MOA).

is it a crazy to take my retirement pension and go do another job? I wouldn't have the same vacation time anymore obviously. And there is a chance it doesn't work out and no union protection. My pension doesn't go up all that dramatically if I wait a few more years.

On that note does anyone know how long it takes
to get the retirement allowance and the vacation money owed? I think it is a separate application than the pension?

I would only be giving 30 days notice.

job searching in 50s

I work full time already in an office. Looking for ideas about part time work evenings and weekends. I'm in my 50s so I'm old haha. I have done door dash don't really want to do that again.
