I’ve had three different Hyundai EV’s the last four years with Ioniq 6 currently being my daily driver. One feature I’ve loved having in all of these vehicles is the speed camera detection which comes in handy in unknown territory (the car basically beeps at you if you’re approaching a speed camera while driving over the speed limit). What I didn’t know is that there’s also a feature that notifies you if you’re approaching a speed limit monitoring operation (or simply speed control). It started beeping at me and a symbol resembling a police officer was shown on the dash as I was driving towards them! I found the setting in the infotainment system, but I got curious about how this system works. I’m aware that you can report driving incidents in Google Maps and Apple Maps, but is this the case for the built-in sat nav?
I should mention that I live in Norway and it’a a 2025 model year.
