New Player, Jeskai Striker Precon Upgrade Deck Ideas/Help
Hey, I'm a newer player to IRL Magic and I played EDH for the first time last weekend with some friends using a very slightly altered Jeskai Striker precon. I've been trying to build an upgraded version of that deck and would like it to be a B3 (that's where my friends say they're decks sit around). Since I'm new I wanna make sure I didn't totally flub anything before I spend any money and wanted some ideas from more experienced players.
Overall, I wanted to build around the spell copying theme but it still has token generators and some nice pump cards. I'm a little worried that I'm spreading the deck too thin by trying to have multiple mechanics in there but I'm not sure how to setup a relativity fair spellslinger/copy win con (copying a [[Time Warp]] for example seems too unfair) without having bodies on the board that can swing into enemies after getting boosted. Also, I'm a bit concerned I have to much ramp/mana rocks. I didn't really touch the landbase because I don't really know how to properly build those and they seem really expensive, planning to just piecemeal acquire some upgrades overtime so I figured I would have the lands for last, let me know if that's a bad idea lol.
