What a great little guy!

Found a Victor XM-PX3 new in box, this beauty has that wonderful early 2000s see through plastic everyone remembers. And while the headphones that came with it only gave me mono for some reason, I slapped some Truthear Pures into the remote and it sounds surprisingly great! Definitely making this my fashion EDC <3

It lives!!

SJ-MJ57 from MD Gadetry and the Panasonic Air Drive for the SJ-MJ59. I never owned one of these when I was younger and this is all mids and highs but oh my god I love it so much. I needed to buy a variable power universal charger because it takes 3.5V 500mA if you want to do something similar highly recommend buying one with a longer cord because originals seem to not exist.

Did I accidentally kill my portable?

I have an MZ-N707 that I use for all of my netMD recording, and since it goes through batteries like crazy when recording, I tried to save money (And the environment) by getting a USB adapter for the battery so it could just run off of my laptop's power (See link below). I plugged it in and it wouldn't turn on, just said "charging" as though I had it plugged in via the DC and it was charging a battery. I took it out after 15 seconds or so because there's nothing to charge, and the back was warm and I got a not-happy smell from the internals. Now it won't turn on, even after waiting for everything to cool down and putting in a new battery per the manual.

Did I just accidentally cook my MD player? I don't have the ability to fix it if so and I don't know if it would be cost effective to pay to ship it to get fixed if it's been shorted out versus buying a new one.

Niel Gaiman alternative

Looking for genuinely well written fairy tales since Neil Gaiman has tainted all of his work I used to love. No romances, just good solid fantasy/dark fantasy/urban fantasy fairy tales.
