Vaulting - The Producers (1967)

In honor of Mel Brooks' 100th birthday, we take a look at the one movie that launched the comedian's career into cinema. It's a tale of two Broadway show producers who try to make more off a flop than a hit...and do they pick a flop...or do they?

Sequel Script Sneak Peak

So...Josh Gad posted on his Instagram a Happy Birthday message to Mel Brooks while showing some behind the scenes of Mel doing audio recording for Yogurt. On the laptop, there are some lines from a scene he was reading from. I was able to read each word carefully and got this:

YOGURT:

Trust me. I can imagine. The bad guys build a thing. You destroy the thing. They build the same thing because they didn't learn their lesson from the destruction of the first thing. They destroy that thing. Then they build a next generation larger than the first and second thing. Now, they think they've got you, but really you got them, because the bottom line is their engineers are not very good at their jobs.

STARBURST:

No...Master Yogurt, you don't understand. This time...its a reboot...

Beat.

YOGURT:

F**k me

Paramount+ Version Alters Line!

I was re-watching Scary Movie last night and there was a different line. I read up the theatrical cut had a line were Brenda disses on Gwyneth Paltrow. For home video, it was changed to "She's about to get it on with Shakespeare..."

I know this movie verbatim. So when I heard the original line play, my mind went crazy. It was changing one note of a song you play over and over. It's not a biggie, but I just had to address Paramount+ has the original cut streaming!
