am I dyslexic?

I genuinely want to ask something because I’ve been confused about myself for years.

I have a very weird mix of strengths and weaknesses. I can remember some things in extreme detail, sometimes even years later, but other things completely disappear from my brain like they never existed. I forget names, dates, basic information, and sometimes even things that just happened.

I struggle a LOT with spelling too. Even words I know correctly, I still end up writing wrong. For example, I might write “right” instead of “write” without noticing. Sometimes while writing sentences, my brain skips entire words accidentally.

I also make frequent typos while chatting online, and they can be really bad or confusing typos, even when I know exactly what I’m trying to say. Sometimes I type the wrong version of a word automatically without realizing it.

I also struggle with pattern recognition in certain ways. If letters are missing from a word, I often cannot recognize the word at all unless I’ve practiced it repeatedly. Reverse counting is difficult for me too.

Another thing is strategy/pattern games. For example, in chess or card games, I can’t naturally think several moves ahead or recognize winning patterns easily. My brain just goes blank when trying to predict steps ahead.

What confuses me is that I’m not “bad” at everything academically. I was actually pretty good at maths concepts, but I struggle heavily with memorization and automatic recall. I only remember multiplication tables till 10 properly. I was never able to fully memorize 11–20 tables no matter how much I practiced, and if I stop practicing something, my brain forgets it very fast.

It feels like my brain is extremely uneven. Some things I understand deeply, while other basic things feel impossible for me.

Does this sound familiar to anyone with dyslexia, ADHD, processing issues, working memory problems, or something similar? I’m not self-diagnosing, I’m just trying to understand myself better because this has affected me for a very long time.

Need Recommendations for a Good Hair Salon

I’ve visited many salons, but they just don’t give me the haircut I want. Last time, I went to one and asked for a mullet + wolf cut, but they only trimmed it. It was disappointing, sigh. This time, I want something like a pixie-mullet or a bixie cut for females. Any salons that actually do a good job and give you exactly what you ask for? Please suggest some good salons.
