Voice goes quiet/breathy, lack of vocal range especially when singing
Hello! I didn't find much online regarding this, so I thought of making my own post. Basically, I've had GERD ever since I'm young and never really received treatment till I'm an adult, I'm now on PPI medication. I noticed my voice lacks a range, basically I can either talk in my regular voice (high pitch) or in a low, broken raspy pitch. Any "middle tones" are completely silent, so I can't sing at a normal level, not sure how to explain it well. But when I try to, my voice either breaks and I have a voice crack, or everything goes completely silent. My natural voice is already quite breathy.
Singing or talking for a long period of time makes me out of breath and hurts my throat, it always ends up breaking and I have a really raspy deeper voice after. Was wondering if anybody relates and if anyone has tips?
