A few months ago /u/Kephail made a post about a group they were building to help coffee aficionados from different parts of the world connect and exchange local coffees to help introduce people to roasters and profiles they may otherwise not have found on their own.

After three exchanges I am pretty happy with the little extra effort I had to spend to go out to my local roasters and then the shipping office. I discovered a new local roaster and had a great conversation with him over three cups of coffee and he was pretty excited I sent his beans out that month. It was a conversation that netted me great recommendations for my trip to Japan for coffee. I passed along that good will by sending my recent match one of the bags from my haul I posted on another thread.

Long story short, I'm glad I did it and I hope to continue participating in these exchanges for a long time.
