THE AFD WON

The far-right AfD has unfortunately just won the election in Saxony-Anhalt, according to initial exit polls, with 45.5% of the vote, more than doubling its result from the last election. Turnout has now just reached a record 77.7%. The AfD may still fail to secure an absolute majority, and all of the other parties have so far refused to cooperate with them, but the message is now clear that far beyond Saxony-Anhalt. The far right movement is now growing rapidly across Europe, and we all need to organise against it. We all have to fight for our equality. We all have to protect our human rights. We all have to fight to protect our bodily anatomy. We all have to go fight for our autonomy. We will all now need to go out and fight for a Europe where anyone and everyone is wanted no matter the religion or non-religious beliefs, the political party, the orientation, gender identity, or the pronouns that someone chooses to use.
