Upgraded Xfinity and now nothing works

So long time Xfinity cable subscriber. Today, after dropping Ziply fiber internet I went into the Xfinity store in Woodinville Wa, to add internet on to my account. I’ve been fairly happy with the cable service, and adding internet would actually save a few dollars.
The store interaction went well, had a new employee helping me , with their current Manager looking over their shoulder making sure everything was processed correctly. All well and good. Walked out of the store with the new WiFi modem, instructions were basic and set was to be easy.

Turns out not so simple, modem wouldn’t connect after trying numerous times trying to activate it. Finally called support, that took a lot of time to get thru their automated menu. Eventually got connected to a support tech. She tried activating the modem with no luck. Same issue I got, flashing white light, never connected.

In the mean time, she said there was no connection to my cable box. I go and check and now have an error code on the TV.
She said she could schedule a tech to come out for a service call, but the next appointment was 8 days out.
Told her that was unacceptable to be down tv & Internet that long.

I’m going to the T Mobile store tomorrow to get their internet and then sign up for YouTube TV, then head back to the Xfinity store and return the WiFi modem and cable box.
TLDR:
Happy Xfinity cable subscriber, added Internet service at Xfinity store, now both services don’t connect. Canceling Xfinity and replacing with T Mobile and YouTube TV
