So kinda a rescue, kinda not. This is my sisters gecko. He recently lost his tail (hence paper towel).

She's had him for about a year and is really neglecting him. I have no idea when she last fed him, his water bowl is always dry, etc etc. I already took in her pacman frog (he looked TERRIBLE) but thats a story for a different time. ((He's looking so much better now! Happy, fat frog)).

I dont really have the room for another pet, but id hate to give him up as I know that hed be loved and cared for by me. My main hesitation is that I dont know the first thing about leopard geckos.

What are some reliable sources where I can find beginner info? He's a very sweet little guy and I want to make sure he is happy and healthy.

My first concern is his current lack of tail.

I have been working for the past 6 hours on this 😩 (currently 1AM)

It needs to be dropped off at a gallery in the morning.

Still need to add finer details. 😵‍💫

This piece is 18x24.

Any thoughts on it?

Edit: idk why my progress pics are getting down voted 🥲 thought they would be interesting to share.
