Why do we have 0 mana moxen, 2 mana rocks like signets, but no 1 mana rocks beside Sol Ring?
Sol Ring being the big powerful exception already being strong by making 2 mana for that cost. but this just baffles me a bit.
I guess to an extent we get mana dorks and the occasional thing like [[Springleaf Drum]] but that's as close as it gets.
like sure i can get that moxen and sol ring are kind of slated at a pretty high power level, but you'd think we would occasionally see some kind of 'nerfed mox' variant at 1 mana here and there, but it just doesn't happen. Why? is it just a sacred cow that it needs to cost zero and sol ring is just kind of an outlier on all fronts?
how strong could you make a 1 mana rock before it's not okay to print? I'd certainly run a "half Sol Ring" in most of my decks all day, but i could certainly see colored 1 mana rocks being a little too nutty without some drawback
