Is my cat a black or silver tortie?

I’m really bad at distinguishing the color types. Sometimes I look at her and she seems to have majority silver undercoat, and other times she seems to be majority black (especially because her face and limbs are dark). She was much darker as a kitten and has since gotten much more silver and cream, especially on her belly and sides.

What the heck is she now(besides a perfect angel)?

Some June landscape and wildlife photos

We only had one rainy/foggy day in 8 days so we felt pretty lucky! We saw orcas, arctic foxes, a short-eared owl, hundreds of puffins, seals, and two rock ptarmigans (the squat bird at the end). The lupines are in full bloom (which are super beautiful even though they are not native 😅).

Final trip cost breakdown: family of 4 for 8 days

$2,360: Flights
$2,085: Lodging
$1,067: Car plus insurance*
$878: Groceries and restaurants
$796: Activities and tours
$427: Shopping
$180: Gas
$47: Parking
$13: Bathroom fees

TOTAL: $7,843
$245/person/day

*I got the highest insurance I could and was glad I did because a bit of gravel cracked our windshield.

Other notes:
We stuck to southern and western Iceland because we don’t really enjoy driving super long distances in a day. This included the Westman Islands and Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

We splurged on a guest house right on the ocean at Snaefellsnes and it was worth it because we got to watch orcas swimming by from the deck.

We saved money by visiting multiple municipal pools (the kids loved the slides!), but we also went on a guided tour of Heimaey at the Westman Islands and Secret Lagoon off the golden circle.

Top highlights for us were Secret Lagoon, Thingvellir National Park, Snaefellsjokul National Park (we saw two Arctic foxes and the orcas were amazing!), and Perlan museum in Reykjavík. Staying in Reykjavik for National Day was also a cool cultural experience for the kids.
