Meet Sullivan

We got our Maine Coon on the weekend. He was born March 4th. He’s the sweetest boy who has integrated with our dogs and cat beautifully.

3 Maine Coons shedding their winter coat

Even with brushing every 2 days I'm vacuuming massive amounts of cat hair every day, this is just from my living room, now for the rest of the house!

This guy is a riot.

I was just getting my evening tea put together and turned around to see this guy just hanging out 😂

And no need to worry I went to go help him out right after the photo and he hopped out all on his own.

Best decision ever

Hi folks. Meet Ben. He's 6 months old, almost 6KG and poops a mountain everyday. But we love him so much. He's just baby.......

activities between his Maine Coon and his children

Hey, i lost my Maine Coon a few weeks ago, after 11 years, as I explained here before.

After some thought, my partner and I decided to get another pet at the end of the year. We were initially leaning towards a dog for a whole host of reasons. But it's just too much of a commitment: having to walk it morning and evening, vacations, etc. Anyway, even though my partner isn't particularly fond of cats, she's agreed to get another Maine Coon, as it's the only cat she's ever loved. Especially since my two children are also asking for a pet, and especially a Maine Coon. My six-year-old is particularly keen, as my three-year-old still asks where Lucky is. He was so used to the cat waiting for him at the door when he came home from school, calling him when he didn't see him.

I've been looking at classified ads and researching to find a good cattery near me. My previous Maine Coon lived in four apartments and one house. For my next cat, I absolutely want another male and I'd like to make the most of his relationship with my children. My previous cat was absolutely wonderful with them. Okay, maybe the occasional playful swat (without claws) at the youngest when he was being a little wild. But nothing more. I live in a house with a garden and near a forest. I'd like to get my future cat used to going out on a leash with us, whether it's for walks in the woods or picking up the children from school. Do any of you do this kind of thing with your Maine Coon?

My children dream of only one thing: being able to play with him.

In any case, he has left a huge void in our lives, and the wait is going to be long.

Wondering if this might be a scam

Hello :) I would really appreciate some advice on this breeder. My gut is telling me they’re not legit. I’m wondering if anyone’s even heard of them

Idaho Large Coons. Their website says all the right things (to my knowledge) except when I checked the TICA site, they were not listed. I’m also not finding any actual reviews of the place besides what the google AI answer is saying. And they have social media icons on their website that don’t seem to work.

I emailed them and they were really nice and said they currently have black smoke kittens who will be ready for adoption in 11-13 weeks. They said they’d happily add my name to their waitlist. I asked for pictures.

I’m in WA and having a lot of trouble finding a breeder in the PNW area that breeds black or black smoke kittens for less than $4k.

Does he look at all like a Maine Coon kitten?

Does he look like a domestic long hair? The rescue said Maine Coon but I didn't want to spend the $400 if it's not. I will just pick another kitten that doesn't have as high of a fee. Can anyone please help? I can add more pics of that would help. Second and third pics are siblings

What exactly do you call this pose? 😂

Husband snapped these pics of our boy, Eeyore, while I was in the shower (the room he's looking wistfully into in pic #1). He's taken to laying in the hallway right outside the bathroom door to wait for me—the cat, that is, not my husband.
