Do the standard British Airborne Warlord make work for North Africa?

I wasn't sure what flair to put this under. Some friends want to run a North Africa campaign. Everyone else has already picked SAS, Africa Korps, Italians, and Americans. I have a small force of British paras painted up for late war and figured I'd see if they could work. I'm having a hard time finding out if they're applicable to operations in that theater. Some sources I've seen seem to say yes others no.

I understand uniforms changed drastically and consistently throughout the war, so it's a bit of a stretch. My friends won't care if they aren't accurate, but my buddy is putting a lot of work into building the campaign and making terrain. I have a few months, so I'd rather field something historically accurate. It seems only fair to put some effort in for all the work she's doing.

If they aren't applicable any ideas on how to kitbash or paint up some North Africa appropriate Paras would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Can you play Oathmark "I go you go"?

So I play a lot of wargames with my GFs brother and his daughters, and a few other kids from the family (all middle school age) want to play Warhammer Old World. However, the rules are way over their head (and to be fair, mine as well, lol). So we thought Oathmark would be a great alternative. However, we're finding that because we play in teams with the kids, alternating activation is grinding the game to an absolute halt. Getting 3 kids per team to make a unanimouse decision to move one unit back and fourth is...let's just say exhausting.

Is there a reason gameplay speaking you can't run Oathmark as an "I go you go" system? If so, are there any tweaks people recommend? We just think if we can do I go you go without breaking the game. We can assign each kid a unit or two and move the game along as well as give them each a little ownership over their portion of the battle.

Thanks for any advice in advance! It's greatly appreciated!
