New Brake Day 🥳

I’m a big guy and the stock DB8’s didn’t really impress me so I went for something different …

Slip-on grips rotating.

Currently I ride with lock-on grips, but I got some slip-on’s that I’d love to use, but when I mount them, they always tend to rotate during riding. Is here any type of light adhesive that is usable to prevent this? Preferably something that can be easily removed again so I don’t have to cut the grips off whenever I feel like trying something else.

Precision in bmx parts.

So, bought my first bmx a few months ago and been having issues with chain tension.

At one point there so much tension on the chain that it creates drag on the cranks when moving them by hand. At another point, the chain is so loose that it’ll skip on the front sprocket when I pedal hard.

Today I took it apart to investigate and found that the teeth on the front sprocket didn’t run true with the center. There’s about 1-1,5mm difference from the top of one tooth to another. I’m aware that the chain isn’t located on the bottom of the teeth, but is seems to me that this is an indication of a poorly manufactured sprocket.

Would you consider this a warranty claim against poor manufacturing or are BMX parts just not any better?
Bike is a Stolen Spade 22 so not the cheapest one around, albeit probably not the highest quality either.

FYI, I’ve ridden mtb’s for years and make my living in CNC manufacturing so I might be biased towards the standards and tolerances in parts.
This is why I’m looking for a few second opinions while waiting for the shop to reply on my warranty inquiry.
