Kind of a stupid/odd question

End of last year I bought a used 2024 Forester Wilderness. My stupid/odd question is, how do y’all feel about it going through an automatic car wash?

The reason I ask is my car before this one was a 2008 Toyota 4Runner and several years ago I took it through an automatic car wash and side panel got ripped off of it. Came to find out it seemed like it had maybe been in a fender bender before I owned it which caused that side panel to not perfectly sit flat there. But since then I have been a bit apprehensive of automatic car washes.

This is the first Subaru I’ve owned (absolutely loving it). Also I know not everyone is a fan of automatic car washes, I’m not really either, but I do park outside under a tree 99% of the time and would like the option is at least easily rinsing the grim off of it every now and then.

Grieving a job before even being rejected.

Hi everyone, just wanted to post about this on here to feel a little bit less alone. I also wanted to share this to hopefully hear others experiences. I had a final interview 5/29 with a non profit organization. (Full timeline: applied 4/29, contacted 5/1, phone screen 5/5, contacted 5/20 for second interview). Was told they were hoping to make a decision within the 1-2 weeks. On 6/9 I noticed my application status in Jobvite go from “in process” to “closed” and it freaked me out a bit so I sent a follow up email. Didn’t hear anything so I sent one more follow up on 6/16. And I’m sure you can already guess, it’s been radio silence. Obviously, I haven’t necessarily been rejected but all the signs point towards not getting it.

I would love to hear anyone else’s experiences with something like this, whether it ended positively or negatively, just to feel some solidarity since I know I’m not the only one whose going/gone through this.

Also I know “don’t put your emotions into your job search” and I definitely try not to. It was a position in an industry that I’m trying to break into and it was my first interview in a while so obviously I was very excited I made it to the final interview. I’ve been told by many professionals in many different industries that I have the skills, smarts, etc. I just need someone to take a chance on me so when it felt like someone finally had, I think it’s obvious why it hurts so much right now.

I look forward to hearing from any of y’all. Thank you so much in advance for any stories or advice you’re willing to share!

Hey everyone! I would love some advice from any registrars or anyone in admin positions in zoos/aquariums. I want to try to break into the zoo/aquarium industry as it’s where my passion lies. I’m not really wanting to be a keeper, and don’t really have the education background for it anyways, but I’m very interested in a registrar position.

Little background about me just to give some context since my education and job experience is all over the place: I have a BFA in film and tv production and just this past week finished a graduate certificate in GIS. I worked as a contract video editor for a few years and worked part time retail for the past 8 years (recently laid off cause my store closed). I’ve struggled for the past 5 years to find any full time position in any of the fields I’ve pursued cause I “lack the experience”

Anyways, my questions for you are:

- Is the ZRA training certificate worth it? Especially for someone who doesn’t have the experience working in this industry, would I be wasting my time?

- How transferable is the ZRA training certificate for other industries? If I had to start gaining experience somewhere else before making it into this industry

- How often do registrar/other admin positions become available? I do keep a close eye on the AZA job site but mainly see keeper positions

Thank you so much in advance for anyone who replies to this! I look forward to hearing any advice anyone may have!
