Fact Check: Sheldon didn't get his temper from his dad
Can we all agree that Amy looked ravishing on the wedding day?
Sheldon goes: Wowwww 😍
On a scale of 1 to 10, how cute is this pic? With 1 being visually offensive and 10 the theoretical maximum.
Sheldon: Please note that the scale is logarithmic, not linear. A specimen rated 10 isn't merely twice as cute as the one rated 5. It's several orders of magnitude cuter. You're welcome.🖖
Have Mangalore real estate ads increased on social media or is it just my algorithm?
Has the bubble finally burst I wonder.
A little sensitivity during funerals goes a long way
I was recently watching a funeral video on YouTube and something caught my attention. A person managing the crowd was being quite rude and aggressive to people who had come forward to offer their final respects. I understand that managing people during funerals is not easy. There may be time and weather constraints, etc. But even then a little kindness and sensitivity can make a huge difference.
It reminded me of something that happened many years ago. I had taken my dad to attend the funeral of one of his old colleague. My dad had recently undergone surgery and was finding it difficult to walk. He had carried a wreath and just wanted to see his friend one last time. Since walking through the usual route was difficult for him, we tried approaching the coffin in the church from another side. There was no huge crowd, no rush but someone involved in managing things suddenly shouted at us and stopped us. Maybe he had his reasons, but the way it was handled was unnecessary and embarrassing. I still remember wishing that someone standing there had gently stepped in and helped my dad have that final moment with his friend.
Funerals are delicate moments. The grieving family is going through unimaginable pain. A funeral is difficult to any of us who has lost someone recently. Yet people travel far to pay their final respects. We often do not know their story.
Being rude or being compassionate is often a choice. And if we see someone forgetting that during such sensitive moments, maybe we need to gently remind them.
