Just wanted to share a quick milestone with everyone navigating the KDP grind. I spent the last few months designing and formatting a 124-page modern cursive workbook for adults (8.5x11 paperback).

After tweaking my category targets and running tight exact-match ad keywords over the last few weeks, I logged into my dashboard today and saw it made it into the Top 50 for Typography (#47)!

Still working on scaling sales and getting those first verified reviews, but seeing KDP’s algorithm start to recognize the title in a specific sub-category makes all the layout adjustments worth it.

Option A or B? Looking for feedback on high-content workbook cover contrast

Hey everyone, I’m finalizing the full KDP print wrap for a cursive workbook tailored to a teen and adult audience. I want a clean, minimalist aesthetic, but I'm struggling with the exact contrast level for the background.

Option A: Uses a charcoal dark grey (higher contrast against white/accent fonts). It is a #3a3a3a

Option B: Uses a softer graphite grey (more muted/contemporary aesthetic). It is a #545454

Since dark greys can shift significantly during KDP printing, I want to make sure the visual hierarchy stays crisp and professional on the back cover text layout. Which shade reads better for the adult demographic, or should I rethink the tint entirely before pulling my final author copies?
