What is the scoop on MiUSA jeans in 2026? Many recommendations from old posts are out of business or bought out.

I’m looking to buy some MiUSA jeans for construction work. I absolutely prefer 100% cotton. Many popular brands from this sub I found are no longer in business. Texas, LC King, etc are gone. So afaik that leaves

Origin - Too expensive to buy 5 pairs of just to destroy at work, but heard they are great. If they are that much above the rest I can probably bite the bullet but I’d rather not.

Diamond Gusset - The gusset part is super appealing for comfort, but the fits look ridiculous even on the models. I’m 5’8 190 with decently big legs, and obviously construction isn’t a fashion show, but if they look that bad and baggy on the models I’d look ridiculous. Correct me if I’m wrong. Also heard they got bought out and aren’t good anymore.

Dearborn Denim - The leader so far, can’t find anything obviously wrong. Heard the lead times are bad though.

Roundhouse - Owned their bibs and wore them for a while. Pretty decent and comfy, but a bit ill fitting. Really tight in the ass but huge in the thighs. That being said the jeans could very well be different and I trust their quality so they are #2 in theory.

Prison Blues - Had a buddy that loves them and only wears them. I’ve also heard they pay prisoners actual wages and not the $1 prison wages other jobs do so I like that. They seem ill fitting on people I know that have them though, but again I could be wrong.

Anyone have any recent experience with these brands? My priorities are quality, fit, and comfort, but stuff like a phone pocket is nice too.

Edit: ty for the recommendations so far! Wanted to ask again if diamond gusset is any good because I find them really appealing.

Def gotta look into bravestar.

What is a good custom IEM for my situation? Mostly used for music (classical piano) and general use.

I have long wanted a pair of custom IEM. I like the way IEMs sound and not having something on my head, but have never found a pair that fit me. I have tried many different tips, as well as foam earplugs of many varieties (I do industrial construction so I use ear pro a lot). No matter what I do with different tip sizes or insertion methods they slowly slip out of my ears after 10 minutes. I have a hard time cleaning my ears as well and doctors often struggle to see in them, so I suspect my canals are funny shaped.

I would be using them for playing and recording classical piano on my Casio Privia keyboard (occasionally while listening to a backing track), listening to music at my PC, listening to videos, listening to people on phone calls, and playing FPS games like CS2.

I currently use some Audio Technica ATH-M50x run through a Scarlett 2i2, both of which are around 12 years old. I'm not a huge audiophile or anything, but as a musician I do appreciate high quality and balanced sound. Isolation is not super important, and I would prefer acrylic to prevent sweat and nastiness since I live in a hot climate.

My main priorities are versatility, fit / comfort, and price. Thank you.

Any recommendations for long sleeved natural fiber shirts for summer wear?

I’m a construction worker and frequently outside in the summer. I’m pale and tattooed and have a family history of skin cancer so I cover up from the sun. The problem is 99% of long sleeved natural fiber shirts I find are made for winter and are super heavy and boiling hot. All the thin breathable sun shirts are polyester and end up smelling rank, plus I shouldn’t wear polyester as an electrician. I have a linen shirt, but it was kinda pricy and I worry about durability. Any recommendations?

Anyone else have a Story and Clark grand?

When I was about 10 years old and showing promise in the instrument, my parents bought me a Story and Clark grand. It’s been with me ever since, and after not having it for years living in apartments I bought a house and have my piano back. I like it a lot due to having grown up on it and having played it for 20 years, but I’ve come to realize I’ve literally never played another one. Whenever I look up the brand I only find people with old beat up uprights. I’m partial to Steinway since that’s what my mentor had as well as my preferred practice rooms at my college, but I really like this piano. I find Yamahas a bit too bright, and mine is definitely more on the mellow side, but I’d say it’s pretty neutral overall. I want to compare it to a Kawai but I really haven’t played one of those in quite a while either, since college at least.

Really cool CT4BW builds out there right now?

I plan on buying a ct4 blackwing next year, and was trying to look around to see some cool builds people have done but I’m not seeing much yet. I’ve owned an old v8 4Runner and a civic SI so I’m pretty into light modifications and builds, since those have such great aftermarket communities. Haven’t seen very much stuff for blackwings though, so put me on to the coolest mods and builds you’ve seen for them so far!
