“Last CT5 generation”

“Last CT5 generation”

Locked in my last generation of ICE engine sedan , wow man what a blessing. Would be a shame if they changed their mind after I bought it and announced a - oh.

Buy from dwindling CT5V stock, or wait for 2027/28 model?

I am looking to buy a new ct5v using my GM supplier discount. These cars are hard to find in NY, I was told by a dealer that there's only ONE available in the entire state. Said dealer is willing to try a dealer trade to get a build I like here for me. They also stated that new builds can't be ordered from GM directly anymore.

At this point, with the CT5V nearing the end of production for the 2026 model year, would it be wise to wait for the next gen? Or should I go for it and jump through a few hoops to get one now?

Edited to specify I am not looking for a blackwing, just the regular V

Owners of the ct4&ct5 BW

Recently been considering a ct4v but so many enthusiasts here post about their ct5’s absolutely raving about them.

Just curious for those who have owned both at one point or another , how do they compare aside from a larger back seat. Does one make a better daily than the other ? Pros and cons of one over the other ? As a true daily , any concerns ? Build
Quality , maintenance, etc…

Are precision package over rated in ct5bw

Back on the search for a ct5bw. I purchased a new one last year, but after two days I asked the dealer to take it back—it simply felt too large. Like any rational car enthusiast, I am feeling the urge again for American muscle.

Driving ability

If anyone here lives in NY and owns a Blackwing , please weigh In….
Strongly considering a ct4v BW, I currently live in NY, specifically in Westchester / New Rochelle area. I commute to Long Island 2x weekly (non rush hour) and Scarsdale. I know I love the car (test drove ) however, can’t help but wonder how much fun I will have as they say “it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow “
Am I going to be able to enjoy this thing ? Or am I just excited for a new toy that I won’t be able to use properly …

Stock 06 CTS-V autox on street summer tires.

The car felt phenomenal for the most part and was very communicative. Not sure if its ever been pushed this hard in all of its 123k miles, but it held up to the abuse. For a big sedan, I was very impressed how tossible it was.

Spring mountain

Those that have went with extensive hpde experience did you find the experience worth the expense to travel there. Being from rural east coast the travel is kinda crap to get there, and im not much on Vegas the two times I went. I know for beginners the school definitely worth it. The travel there is as much as I can do a local track weekend. So is worth it or just save the money and do a local event?

18x11 ET40 built by: Fortune Forged wheels (matches the finish of the stock wheels, and the design comes out great. (Clears the big a** brakes)

New owner with some questions!

Hey guys just picked up this 24 CPO Velocity Red Blackwing. Base interior. 6 speed manual. What is everyone’s favorite daily driving drive mode settings? Does anyone daily drive one in Colorado and would you advise all seasons or winter tires? I was considering Michelin Alpin PA4’s. I have a work vehicle so I don’t have to take it out in severe weather. Lastly recommend me your favorite cleaning products!

2017 ATS-V

Hey all, been in the market for an ATS-V for a while, found a 2017 with 108k miles for 26k. Curious if the price is fair and what i should be worried about if I purchase at that many miles. This would be my daily, I have a 3 mile round trip commute to work so I don't drive alot. Thanks in advance

Joined the V fam

Couldn’t be happier joining the V club. Going to enjoy some stock daily driving but the parts list is already looking good.

Has anyone tried to get 11” wheels under the front of a CT5 Blackwing

I want to get wider (335?345?) in the rear, but it unless I can get at least a 295 or preferably a 305 under the front. It’s just going to add too much rear grip and become a snap oversteer liability. And I just want wider front tires.

I took a look around and I feel like a heat gun and some massaging could get it to clear the fenders but it’s hard to check for inside rub with confidence because I don’t have a 4 post.

A 295/30/19 tire is about .6 inches shorter in diameter (.3 in radius) and 205/30/19 is .4 (.2 radius) shorter. That would help with clearance and I’d be able to get the car pretty much the exact ride height I want (.5” drop is ideal- I’ll settle for .25)

I would get completely custom wheels so offset isn’t an issue.

But it seems like I could get half an inch on both sides? Maybe?

ETA: there isn’t really a rear tire option that would be slightly shorter and I don’t want to mess with the front being 1/2” shorter and the rear being the same or taller. Ugh.

ETA: found one option.
Ordering a tire fitment tool and either buying one front and rear or 3d printing 1/4 of a tire to check fitment.
