I’ve had a brake pulsation issue since I bought my ‘22 CT4V BW with 22,000 miles on it. Despite my repeated requests that CarMax (where I bought the car from and had the first 2 sets of pads and rotors installed at under warranty) and Cadillac (when I had the third set of pads and rotors installed, also under warranty) do a thorough diagnosis to identify the culprit of this issue, they just continue to throw parts at it. Like clockwork, the pulsation reappears every time after about 500 miles. Re-bedding the brakes has not helped. What do I do? Has anyone determined what the definitive culprit is for this problem?

For context, I do not track the car. It’s my daily driver and I drive it in the city ~10 miles a day.

What is the best sounding aftermarket catback exhaust for the CT4V BW? As far as I can tell, Corsa and AWE are the only two options available but would love to know if there are others worth considering. Do the Corsa or AWE systems sound much better than stock?

I’ve now owned my 2022 CT4V BW for ~3k miles. The car had brake vibration as soon as I drove it off the lot. Took it to CarMax under warranty and they replaced the front pads and resurfaced the front rotors. About 750 miles later, it developed brake vibration again. I took it back to CarMax, and they replaced all 4 rotors and pads. 750 miles later, I’m still getting brake pulsation.

After replacing the rotors and pads I immediately burnished the brakes by doing 20 30mph-0mph sequences. Once the pulsation came back after replacing the rotors and pads, I tried burnishing the brakes, this time doing 15 60mph-30mph sequences with braking force of 0.7g, and the vibration still didn’t go away.

Everything I’ve read says that my rotors aren’t warped but rather I have uneven pad deposit buildup. What am I doing wrong here? I love this car, but this issue is starting to ruin my experience.

Edit: the rotors and pads that CarMax replaced my existing rotors and pads with were OEM

I recently had all 4 pads and rotors replaced with OEM parts on my 2022 CT4V BW. What is the proper break-in procedure? I’ve only driven it ~10 miles from the shop back home and intentionally tried to limit my usage of the brakes / only apply moderate braking when necessary.

Do I need to bed the brakes right away?

Should I wait 200-400 miles to bed the brakes?

I’ve had repeated problems with brake pulsation on this car thus far, so want to make sure I get this right after such an expensive fix.

I recently purchased a 2022 CT4V BW with 22k miles on it from CarMax. As soon as I drove it off the lot, I noticed significant brake vibration (felt in the seat, not the steering wheel) when braking from speeds above ~65 mph, which is obviously a tell tale sign for warped rotors.

To be sure, I did some research, and found that these brakes often need to be burnished if the car has been sitting for a while. I tried doing the burnishing myself by braking hard from 60 mph to 0 mph 10 times with ~1 minute between each interval. That didn’t help, but perhaps I didn’t do it correctly.

I’d be shocked if the rotors are truly bad with this few miles on the car, but I’m new to this community, so I don’t really know. Apparently, according to CarMax, this issue is covered under their 30-day limited warranty, so I was planning on taking the car to their service department to have this issue fixed, but I don’t love the idea of having them do the work for fear of it not being done correctly / them damaging something.

What should I do? Will I likely need to buy new pads and rotors? Does this seem like something that should be fixed by proper burnishing?
