In my post about the sub 4 second 0-60, I mentioned I'd post a video. I finally put it together.

Its supposed to be an HDR video; but I don't know how well it will display on SDR screens or how well Reddit displays HDR... If it looks like garbage, lets blame that, k? thanks.

The dripping from the door sills after washing just drives me nuts. Please tell me I'm not alone.

I was cleaning up from washing my car when we had a grocery delivery and the guy recognized it was a V. After the encounter I remembered the video from u/VirtualRadish4Me and realized I might have it recorded on my driveway cam.

Its been a long time since I did much video editing, but I've recently started to get back into it and make dumb content for Instagram, so I tried to cut the video down to tell the story without cutting out to much.

Anyway, I didn't know what do with it as the sound is literally digital poop (the mic in the camera was sourced from the lowest bidder). But it was fun to make.

(FYI - The outro is a plug for the IG I setup for said dumb car content, so if you watch it, you can stop at the 50 second mark)

I'm experimenting with the idea of some custom badges.

Everyone does or has seen the murdered out badges; I'm thinking about something a little different. What about a flat/matte finish on the badges themselves with the colors in the badge matching the rest of the car? Red from the break calipers & tail lights and silver from the wheel center caps, brakes and lug nuts

I'm not sure if these renders are just not great or if the idea is just poorly thought out. (i feel like the silver in these renders looks a little to warm to be a great representation of what it would actually look like)

I keep going back and forth and thought I'd get a wider opinion

Steps to reproduce:

1.) Fill the tank

2.) Reset the trip

3.) Drive at a constant speed on the interstate

Apparently if you do this long enough, the MPG display will show a "2" in the tens place!

Who knew it could even do that?!

Part One of this turned out to be my highest voted post ever. Part Two is on its way to be my second highest. As the whopping 8 followers on the car's Instagram can attest, I have no idea what the internet finds interesting.

I recorded this video when building the severely undersized cribbing blocks but the exposure turned out so poorly, I wasn't going to use it for anything... But I'm still getting flood with messages from the first two posts, so I guess we'll see if my fellow shitty mechanics appreciate it.

If your wife ever tells you likes the big black ones; tell her "No!". The black ones are a pain in the ass!

There were so many comments saying I needed wheel chocks on the top of my severely undersized cribbing blocks and asking how I got the car on them. Rather than responding to all the comments, here is the follow up.

Yes, I am clearly still alive.

I didn't use ramps because I didn't want to pay for them nor did I want to store them. This is $30 of wood.

I do have jack stands, but this car is completely devoid of a place to lift in the front. So if I lift it from one side with my jack, I am then unable to put jack stands under as the jack is in the way.

The wheel chocks on the top of the cribbing blocks was always the plan, when I posted the pictures before it was just testing the height before I committed to another layer or not.

I appreciate you fellow shitty mechanic. I had no idea this would get so much attention.
