I rented a C8 for the week of my wedding recently and LOVED it. I enjoyed it so much it has me considering getting rid of my F150 and driving a C8 year round. My wife has an AWD suv that we can use so my truck isn’t really “needed” it’s just nice to have. Convince me that this is a great idea or a very bad one. (Pic of the C8 I rented for attention)
Title, photo doesn’t seem to do it justice. My 2018 Camaro would scrap something half the time, probably the front air dam.
I think GM did a great job with the performance exhaust, I know the cabin can get quiet but once you put the windows or the roof down, you really hear the exhaust in its fully glory especially in the lower revs. Love pulling the paddle shifters down and revving it and it honestly turns many heads lol and the cold start is crazy loud so all in all, 100% satisfied with the NPP!

In the market for a new vette and I have been eyeing the new stingray year model for the 6.7 engine. I kno most dealers are barely even getting 27 year models but eventually once again the market will be over saturated just like it was with the 26. When do the prices tend to drop for the new year models ?
Had a track day at Circuit Florida today and tried out the z06 and Emira. The z06 is the real deal. Even a novice like me feels safe swinging and flooring this beast. Went ~110mph on the long straight and my god, what power.
A drawing I started 3 years ago, did half of it and left it. I remembered that drawing a few days ago and decided to finish it. I wanted to share the result with you. I'm used markers, colored pencils and airbrush on A3 size paper.
Not my car, but i saw it at a costco parking lot in Seaside, Ca. Had to stop and get a picture. This thing looks amazing. The hood is Carbon Fiber.
I’m curious how many people that are C8 owners dreamed of getting a 911 their whole lives, bought a C8 and said, “this is perfect, I’m not paying the Porsche tax.”
I know I did, and I’m a German citizen.
For the price of a 911 I can have a C8 and a C7 and have two super competent cars.
Plus I think the Corvette “wave” is fun.
Finally got my dream car— 2026 Z06 2LZ with 3LZ seats. Only thing I changed was swapping out the steering wheel for the 3LZ version. Ceramic Coat and PPF went on within 5 miles of leaving the dealership and I couldn’t be happier.

I purchased a 2025 HTC z51 with 6k miles on 6/30 and still under mfg warranty. Driving the car a few days and I noticed that the brakes were squeaking somewhat, especially at slower speeds and while making turns.
Took it to the dealer this morning and the service advisor in nutshell just said “It’s normal with these vehicles due to the size of the brakes. The rotor is developing a layer of rust and the caliper when pressed will make that sound. One suggestion is to slam on the brakes at slower speeds and it will “shake off” the rust layer.”
During my months of research I never once read of a brake squeaking being normal.
Anyone have a similar issue?
Anyone have any idea what this mount looking thing is for near my review mirror on my C8 Stingray. Pretty sure it’s not OEM. Dashcam mount?
I need to get this off my chest and also see if anyone here has dealt with the same thing.
I went from a 2025 Stingray that was flawless for a year to a brand new 2025 Z06 right before this summer season. Dream car, finally pulled the trigger. Six weeks and less than 1000 miles on the odometer later it's sitting at the dealer and has been for 3 weeks now.
What was happening: I'd shift into Drive and the car would just shut itself off, drop into neutral and throw an "Idle Creep Temporarily Disabled" message. Other times it would jolt forward when shifting from Park to Drive while my foot was flat on the brake. Not exactly confidence inspiring on a car this new.
So they replaced the valve body in the DCT. Didn't fix it. Then GM engineering told them to pull the entire transmission and inspect the clutches. Now they've ordered a stator and "a few other parts" that are backordered and apparently won't even ship until mid July. So I'm looking at close to 2 months down on a car I've barely driven.
AND... it doesn't even sound like they're confident these parts are actually going to fix it. It's more like let's throw these in and see what happens. So I might wait two months just to find out we're not done. Awesome.
Meanwhile I'm making a fat monthly payment on a car sitting in a service bay and they handed me a GMC Terrain as a loaner lol. I've got a case open with GM Canada and a case manager but so far it's mostly "we're looking into it"
Is there anything I can realistically push for here? Like getting GM to cover my payments while it's down or even a buyback or replacement, or am I dreaming? Any Canadians who went through GM Canada goodwill or CAMVAP, what did you actually end up getting?
I love the car when it runs. Right now I just have a very expensive parking ornament. Any advice appreciated.

I’m curious if those braces are normally red or not, and I’m curious if this emblem on the rear deck lid is normally here and what it’s like. It looks like it got poorly spray painted or something so I think I’m going to remove it.

If not, are these relatively easy to take off? Slightly heat and peel away?
