I’m in the Los Angeles area and I’m specifically looking for cartridges that are 100% solventless — fresh-frozen cannabis, ice/water hash, heat and pressure. No distillate, no diamonds, no live resin, no added terpenes, no mystery blends. No Jeeter or Muha Meds you better go far away from with that BS lol

I’ve found maybe 2–3 companies that make what I’m looking for, but they’re extremely hard to find around LA, except Pax but they add Diamonds for "taste". Bruh if you just smoke at a low voltage/temp and take consistent tokes not trying to blinker every hit then it will not have that infamous burnt taste. If you want to milk live rosin use a rig. Thats all user mistake when it comes to live rosin. Its specifically supposed to be smoked at low temps. I even brought a heat gauge to monitor my dab rig bucket and adjustable heat 510 batteries. Alien Labs claims to have a cold pressure process cart but it still has solvent in it ! Lol

The most mainstream one I’ve found is Jetty Solventless, and I honestly don't mind paying the premium but I live a choice. Jetty Solventless is a A+ in my books. No anxiety, no coughing, no triggers just pure bliss and munchies lol

The reason I'm so picky is that I have asthma. I know, I know “Why the hell are you smoking if you have asthma?” 😂 shit gets tough man and id rather use weed than turn to alcohol or drugs.

From my personal experience, live resin, diamond carts, distillate, etc. can absolutely wreck me. I don't know whether it's butane, propane, ethanol, residual solvents, additives, terpenes, or something else entirely, but something about those products seems to trigger my asthma. I can end up coughing and wheezing badly enough that I need my inhaler/nebulizer.

With true solventless live rosin carts, I don't get the same reaction.

And honestly, I've become extremely picky about flower too. At this point, I don't really trust flower unless I grew it myself or I personally know the grower and understand what they use on the plants throughout the entire cultivation process.

Even some of the cannabis that people consider mid here in California you can buy from dispensaries can trigger my asthma. So for me, it's not really about THC potency. I'm trying to figure out what exactly is in the product and what I'm actually inhaling.

I'm NOT claiming live rosin or flower is safe for people with asthma, obviously inhaling anything can irritate the lungs. I'm just talking about my own experience and trying to find products that minimize whatever seems to be triggering me. As soon as that artificial berry or candy taste in live resin and diamond carts it hits my lungs and im instantly coughing. Ive found what works for me and its anything solventless or homegrown.

So I'm trying to find REAL solventless carts in the LA area.

I'm talking:

- Fresh-frozen cannabis

- Ice/water extraction

- Heat + pressure

- 100% live rosin

- No distillate

- No diamonds

- No live resin

- No added botanical terpenes

- No mystery “proprietary blend”

- Preferably a 510 cartridge, but AIOs are fine too

Jetty is the obvious one I've found. What other companies are making genuinely solventless live rosin carts that I can actually find in Los Angeles?

If you live in an overpopulated city with shitty infrastructure, don't even question it—GET THE FRONT-END LIFT SYSTEM.

I learned that lesson the hard way with my C8 Z51.

In the City of Los Angeles, driveway approaches are generally the responsibility of the property owner, even though they're part of the public right-of-way. If a business or home has a horribly designed or damaged driveway approach, it can stay that way for years unless the property owner repairs it. Its a damn nightmare tryna to navigate some fucked up approaches and with LA traffic its very dangerous to pull into business very slow and cautious. The C8 hate is real out here every and anything is tryna race you or tailgate you and egg you on to go faster. I understand why though : the cost and permits to repair.

I know because I went through it myself. I had my own driveway approach completely replaced, and because I didn't do my homework beforehand, the whole process ended up costing me around $7570 after permits, required demo work, hauling fees, paid for my concrete truck and pump with insurance for the workers. It was a complete mess of a process. The city inspection process made things extremely difficult for the workers, with inspectors constantly coming by and scrutinizing not even knowing how to repair or give me plans to to re do my sidewalk because Edison installed a street lamp on my parkway and it caused my sidewalk to sink over a foot and only getting worse. The city told me that both my neighbors would have to agree to replace their sidewalks also just making it so fucking difficult. City inspectors whats wrong with yall ? Were you born with a stick up your ass ? How does my sidewalk being replaced have to do with my neighbor? I understand why LA is so fucked up. Where is all the money going for our infrastructure ?

Premium gas out here went back to 6$+ a gallon, you got to the grocery store for under 10 items and its a guaranteed at least 50-100$. Meat has gotten so unaffordable out here in LA especially beef. Beef is so expensive out here that I just dony buy it anymore. Inflation is hitting my part of LA hard. Street tacos went up to like 3.50 minimum, a burrito will run you 15$ to 20$ now and agua frescas cost like 7$ dollars now. I completely understand that some people barely make enough to make it out here.

And then I bought a C8 Z51. 😂

I specifically bought this car to drive on weekends, cruising the beaches, doing canyon runs, taking it to the track, and enjoying roads in cities where the infrastructure is actually maintained properly.

Go down to the South Bay and look at places like Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, parts of Torrance, and Palos Verdes. For the most part, these are completely different driving environments. The streets are beautiful, and you're not constantly dealing with those horrible driveway transitions and broken-up approaches. Obviously, Palos Verdes has its own unique situation with the land literally moving toward the ocean 😂, but that's a completely different problem.

It really makes you wonder where all the money is going. I pay state taxes, property taxes and us as residents thay sidewalksyet so much of LA's infrastructure looks like nobody has maintained it in decades. It's incredibly frustrating to see the difference between communities that appear to have their infrastructure maintained properly and areas of Los Angeles that don't. You drive down to nicer and richer areas. Most of Orange County is just all flat thats another place to visit youll never see any potholes. I know this all has nothing to do with a C8 im just explaining to please get that front end lift system.

And for me, the consequences were immediate.

I damaged my first plastic front splitter during the first week I owned the car. After that I went and brought a expensive dry carbon splitter and it was cracked and basically destroyed by barely tapping a parking stop a week later lol.

Every business entrance, driveway approach, parking lot, pothole, dip, and horrible road transition becomes an obstacle. You're constantly calculating angles instead of enjoying the car.

If you're buying a Corvette and you live in LA—or any city with terrible infrastructure—don't make the mistake I made. GET THE FRONT-END LIFT.

I regret not getting it every single time I approach a driveway. 😂

The Z51 is an incredible car. LA infrastructure just wasn't designed for it.

Spectrum just isn't keeping up with my needs anymore. I play games and it lags when I play and im on a 500gb plan. I believe that should be more than enough ? Was thinking of going with Starlink because im already paying 105$ a month already. I dont have many options I dont believe im in Carson. I just called and was told im a legacy member and that they can switch me to 95$ a month LOL.

I feel like Mexican food used to be one of the more affordable options in LA, but lately it seems like prices have gotten pretty crazy.

$15+ for a burrito with a scoop of meat and beans & rice as a filler lol, $7 for a large agua fresca, and regular street tacos that can easily be $3–$5 each. By the time you get a burrito and a drink, you're looking at $20+ before tax and tip.

I completely understand that food, labor, rent, and everything else have gone up, and I'm not trying to bash restaurants or say they shouldn't charge what they need to charge but also street vendors and trucks are charging the same prices in my area LOL.

But at what point does Mexican food stop being an affordable everyday meal? 3 small street tacos, a burrito and Large Agua ran me 32$ and some change for lunch lol.

For those of you who live in LA, what are you paying these days for burritos, tacos, and aguas frescas? And yes I get it if you live in a more hood area prices will be cheaper but im Harbor Area born and raised and even in the more hood areas in the HA everything is still ridiculously expensive lol.

As a Mexican myself I take my ass down to my local carniceria or Vallarta and make everything myself. For around 35$ I can make tacos and burritos for lunch and dinner with rice and beans and salsa for at least 3 days with drinks too.

I work my ass off 6-7 days a week I never complain when it comes to food and cost, its my fuel to keep me working but damn im not stupid im not going to keep getting ripped off for above average food that can be made at home. I make great money but damn is eating out like a damn luxury now ?

Aw the good ol days of 10$ burritos and 2$ tacos. Why does rice water cost 7$ now ? Lol im js

Does anyone have recommendations for a good ADU builder/contractor?

I'm not looking for one of these large construction companies that gives a base price and then hits you with or tells you to save up $50k–$100k+ in markups just because they provide the finishes and you may nkt like them. Thats how all these companies work now a day imo. I've been through several remodels, learned a lot along the way, and would prefer working with someone more straightforward. I was initially quoted 250k for a 2 bed 2 bath from a builder but in the end he tells me to save up at least 300$k if I plan to change anything that's not in his plans.

I can provide the plans and will be doing everything permitted. Looking for an experienced builder who does quality work, communicates well, and charges a fair price.

I've been shopping around for financing and have received a HELOC/home equity loan quote at 6%, but one of the ADU builders I'm considering has a financing partner offering 5.5%.

My credit score is strong, my income is about mid 100s, and I have substantial investment assets, so I'm trying to determine whether 5.5% is truly competitive in today's market or if anyone has recently secured a better rate.

For those who have financed an ADU recently:

- What lender did you use?

- Was it a HELOC, home equity loan, cash-out refinance, or construction loan?

- What rate were you able to get?

- Were there any hidden fees, points, or surprises?

Just trying to make sure I'm getting the best deal before moving forward with a $250k project. Any experiences or recommendations would be appreciated.

Hello all I recently have gone all organic and my body has never felt so better. A lot of my gut problems have gone away and I overall just feel great. I recently started using Misfits Market and it hasn't been bad but the selection is kind of mediocre. They only offer smaller packs of meat and not many choices at all with some just being regular non organic or non grass feed options. Saving a trip to the grocery store is enough for me to want to continue the delivery service and its just about what I spend at the grocery store anyways. Any recommendations ?
