LA roomies 💕[Wanted]

My roomate does not feel we are a good fit anymore so to help out I have crafted this ad on her behalf to help her find her perfect fit. If this sounds like it could be you please feel free to reach out 😁

🚨 ROOM FOR RENT 🚨
Seeking emotionally resilient, telepathic roommate for spiritually curated household ✨

About the home:
2 bed / 1.5 bath shared with me, an eco-conscious household authority figure who values communication (from you specifically), immediate dish sanitation, and complete alignment with my personal lifestyle philosophy.

Requirements include:
• Must exclusively use artisanal bamboo toilet paper because apparently regular toilet paper is “bleached” and therefore a war crime against my asshole.
• No regular candles. We breathe vibes here.
• Approved cat litter ONLY. Your preferences on how you care for your animal are not relevant. only my preferences.
• Self-cleaning litter boxes are banned despite there being an entire two-story house simply because I do not want to make space for one.
• Please report all movements, estimated return times, and general whereabouts as though you are checking in with air traffic control.
• Shared spaces are fully furnished (by me) so you will be allotted approximately 11 square inches of storage and two emotionally charged bathroom drawers.
• You will also be paying equal rent despite not having the master bedroom and enjoying the luxury experience of exclusive street parking while I park safely behind the gated fence in the driveway.
• Despite you signing a lease directly with the landlord and not me, I will still periodically behave as though I personally hold the legal and spiritual authority to remove you from the property at any moment.
• You are expected to clean dishes immediately after use unless I leave mine out, in which case it’s different somehow.
• Piano concerts may occur until ungodly hours of the night and you are expected to support the arts.
• However, starting the washing machine at the wrong time is considered disruptive, hostile, and a direct attack on household peace.
• If conflict arises, I may avoid directly addressing your concerns for several weeks while simultaneously asking why your “energy feels off.”
• Emotional openness required from you at all times. Accountability from me not included.
• If you distance yourself after repeated dismissals, this will be viewed as a hostile act against the household ecosystem.
• Bonus points if you enjoy passive aggression, circular communication, and being told someone is “just direct” moments before your boundaries are ignored.

Household culture:
I value friendship deeply, which is why I will invite men from your past to sleep over without checking if you’re comfortable first ❤️
If you express discomfort, I will remind you I was “telling, not asking.”

Ideal roommate:
• Quiet
• Self-contained
• Doesn’t question uneven distribution of space/resources or use free will to even question uneven consideration
• Able to decipher mixed signals and survive emotionally confusing couch conversations
• Comfortable being both scrutinized and emotionally deprioritized simultaneously

Rent:
Just a hair unfair!

Utilities:
Will be disclosed in a surprise lump sum 5 months later for character development purposes.

Please include a short essay explaining why your basic boundaries are actually negotiable.

Room for Rent!

Hello!

I have a room becoming available in July near Retro Row.

$1400 rent + WiFi and utilities. $1175 deposit. Large private bedroom with large closet, private bathroom, and yes - private parking! A single little locking garage just for this unit and yours truly ~doesn’t have a car~

The overall unit is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and I prefer to keep the guest room empty for storage and extra space and privacy between the occupied rooms. The unit also has a lot of outdoor patio and deck space.
Sadly, my dog is reactive so he can be the only dog but is great with cats with proper introductions.

About me:

I’m a 33 year old queer woman and I work 40hrs a week. I spend my free time quietly working on art projects or hanging out with my 80lb pitbull. I don’t drink but I’m very 4/20 friendly and partake throughout the day (outside).

Also: Fuck Trump, abolish ICE, Free Palestine, fuck Zionism and anything affiliated with white nationalist propaganda.

The ideal roommate:

Is LGBTQIA+ / ally
Has full time job (proof of employment needed for landlord)
Is not a heavy drinker/partier
Loves dogs
Cleans up after themselves

I’ve been in this spot for almost a decade and have built a great relationship with management so it’s important for me to find someone who is chill, responsible, and can commit to at least 6mo but ideally this would be more long term.

Thanks for reading all of that!

Wanted: Studio/1BD LA June 1st

I just moved here and having issues finding an apartment. My credit score is 700 and I just started my new job a month ago but I keep getting denied due to income and an auto loan delinquency from 6 years ago. I don’t even own the vehicle anymore. Does anyone have any advice?I’m a good tenant, staying in an AIRBNB currently but I was living with my mother for the past 3 years; needing a permanent residence starting 6/1/26 and I’m running out of options.

[WANTED] HOUSING Responsible, quiet woman + 3 cats in need

Blessings to all who read this-

I am a 40 year old female, and I’m seeking housing ASAP with my budget being $1200-1600 a month. (And willing to make a ‘last months deposit’, with a written agreement.)

I am a very responsible and capable person, but I’ve fallen on hard times. Over the last 6+ years I experienced a great deal of loss during COVID including my solid job(s), which was a huge hit. Since then I had to become a caretaker for my mom, recover physically myself from an accident, and more recently had to leave an abusive and controlling relationship, all of which significantly impacted my work life and financial stability. I don’t have consistent lodging currently.

I am working part-time now, looking for fuller time and better work, and trying to heal and rebuild my life. While I would like my own private apartment or space, I am open to renting a room and sharing a house or condo with someone else, IF we connected and I felt truly safe, but I would need my own bathroom, and it’s important to note that I have 3 cats. That’s whats making finding somewhere to live much more challenging. But please hear me out!

About my cats: they are British shorthair/Scottish fold mixes and have very low dander and minimal shedding. They are clean, and don’t go to the bathroom outside the litter. They are middle aged to older and generally well behaved, kinda shy, and chill and quiet. I can even show you my positive Air b n b reviews including them if you’d like. They don’t damage things or have significant behavior issues. I would be willing to offer pet deposit.

This might be an aligned situation for someone that’s gone often and would like a pet or house sitter, or someone that might have some sort of work-for-living trade they can offer of whatever I might be able to help with. Or someone with a vacant RV, guest house or tiny house. I would like to stay at least 6 months. Willing to agree for 12 if mandatory, and also open to as short as 3 months for a sublet situation.

If guests weren’t allowed, that would be totally fine with me. Otherwise I may have 1 or 2 respectful guests over max at a time, every once in a while.

I am a generally kind, sweet, easy going, dependable, and down to earth kind of person. I am super friendly but also introverted. I believe in God and I’m spiritual (but you don’t have to be.) I don’t drink at home, (minimally out,) and no hard drugs or smoking. I have prior experience with childcare, as well as personal assistant, and house and pet care. So if I can be of service in those ways, it can be discussed. I can also provide references if needed. Am willing to do a background check- I’ve never been arrested or evicted or sued.

I wrote a lot l here, but I’m sure you’ll still have questions. If you’re interested and might be able to help, please inquire with me! I’m educated (USC grad) and savvy so don’t try to scam me, as I will catch on quickly. And no creepy guys with ill intentions. Please offer me some details in your message rather than vague… Thank you!

Massive private room with 3 Walk-in closets in big house near Ktown/Larchmont 6/1 move-in -$1650

Hey Everyone!

My roommate and I are looking for someone to join our giant 3 bedroom+Den/ 2 bath house. Move-in 6/1 (but can be a little flexible). Lease is month-to-month but hoping to find someone who wants to stay longer term. $1650

Your room is massive with three walk-in closets. The house has a den (which is currently a home gym) a huge backyard, a self-tape studio in the garage, parking and washer/dryer in unit. I love this house.

I'm a comedic actor and teacher. The other roommate is a comedy writer. You would share the primary giant bathroom with her. All genders are cool. We're just looking for someone chill and clean who wants to live in an awesome space in a great neighborhood. BONUS: You live with the sweetest senior dog! Pic of her below as well.

EDIT: Having trouble with photos so you can find them plus the dog here at this Google link.

[Question] Does every apartment have cockroaches?? (Bonus points if you can is the bug in the spiders web)

I’ve been touring apartments and I feel like k see roach droppings everywhere, is that true or am I just bad at identifying them? I looked at a 2bd 1.5b that is $2600 a month and I found these evidence, am I crazy? I’ve looked mostly in palms but some in beverywood too and I’d say 7/10 I’ve looked at have evidence of roaches.

The first couple pictures are of the pull out cutting board, and others are beneath sinks. Behind the fridge looked ok.

Private Bedroom in 3BR/1BTH HOUSE available, with laundry onsite and a backyard!

Hello! I am about to move into a 3 bedroom/1bathroom house that my former boss is renting to me, and am looking for rent out one of the other rooms. The rent would be 1300/month plus utilities, small deposit required to secure the room (learned my lesson there 😅) but that deposit will be part of that 1300 for your first month, not extra costs.

I’m a 32year old male, drag queen, cat owner, and stoner. If any of that is an issue, probably not a good fit! I also just moved in myself, so forgive the lack of consistency in my photos!

My best friend from high school back home is moving up here in August to take the 3rd bedroom, so the first couple of months we would split the Internet/bills between just the two of us, and then eventually between all three of us when he arrives!

There is a dishwasher in the kitchen, laundry machines in the garage, and hoses out front and back. There is also in fact, a beautiful backyard that you can see the skyline of DTLA from! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with stores open within walking distance.

Totally open to one more pet in the house either dog or cat, I’m wary of really big dogs (I’ve lived with them before) but if they’re really calm then I could work with that!

Great location in the SGV, with quick highway access to Hollywood, Glendale, Highland Park, etc in that area!

Reach out if you have any questions, hope to hear from you soon!

July/Aug West LA, South Bay, SM, Venice, Playa

Hey! I’m looking for a sublet or short-ish term furnished place for a couple of months or more beginning mid July.

My dates are flexible. If you don’t have something til August, I can make that work too! I can stay for a month or for a few months… open to a lot of options.

I’m moving back to LA after living in Texas for a few years and need a spot to land while I figure out a potential longer term solution.

I work from home for a national cancer nonprofit.

I have a 30lb, 8yr old blue heeler mix that’s well behaved and a very sweet little dog.

I’d love to find a spot that has some type of balcony, patio space. Even if shared.

I’ve checked Furnished Finder and found a few options but curious if anyone out there has an ADU or sublet or similar available this summer.

Hoping to keep it under 2500/month but flexible on that too.

EDIT: In terms of location I’m open to much of West LA in general. Sawtelle, Palms, Mar Vista, Culver City, Westchester. Also would love to find something in Santa Monica, Venice, Playa del Rey, or any of the South Bay. But I know that’s a stretch with my budget.

Like I said budget and timing is flexible so let me know!

Thanks!
