How bad does this clutch look

TOB finally give up on my 2014 BRZ with 66000 miles, pulled the transmission out to replace it, this is how the clutch looks, I ordered new clutch kit with flywheel but I have a drifting event coming up in a week, so I’m not sure if the new clutch will arrive in time, would you even consider putting this clutch back on? Or I’m just looking for trouble?

Did someone tamper with my lock?

i found my lock this morning after fourth of july like this. it has been already struggling to unlock but i'm thinking someone probably tampered with it. some crack heads had stolen the battery out of her before.

is this an easy fix or should i just keep using the passenger door?

Garage told me twice not to worry about my Astra revving itself wild on a cold start… now the check engine light played peekaboo. Help?

My 2006 Vauxhall/Opel Astra H 1.8 automatic revs on its own after a cold start, bouncing between 1,000 and 2,500 rpm for about 90 seconds. After that, it runs perfectly fine. This has been happening for a few months now, mostly during the warmer UK weather. I’ve taken it to the garage twice, had diagnostics run, and both times they said not to worry, apparently, some rev fluctuation on cold starts is normal for an older car, especially between 1,000–2,000 rpm. So I let it go.

But yesterday, after a 30-minute morning drive (with the usual revving), I parked for three hours, then started the car again, no revving this time, since it wasn’t a cold start but the check engine light came on. I stopped after about 5 minutes and called the garage to book it in. When I restarted the car after that call, the light had turned off. Now I’m second-guessing whether I even need the appointment. It’ll cost around £50 for another diagnostic, but without the warning light on, I feel like I’m just going back with the same revving issue they’ve already told me to ignore twice.

Does anyone have any idea what might actually be going on?

Just checked my brother's air filter

I took out the air filter on my brother's new car just to check it. This will be fine for a few more years right?

Advice Very Much Needed:

2000 with 280,000 km and this is what the frame looks like. I’ve done small jobs on cars and it’s been a dream of mine to own an 3rd Gen 4Runner. Talked the seller down to 7K. Can I please get your advice on the frames integrity. I poked at it with a screwdriver all around and nothing went through, but I’m worried that the test isn’t enough. Is this frame savable with a wire wheel and some oil penetration/sealing?

Anything helps please and thank you.

DIY oil change question

Hi I’ve got a 2018 1.2 500 , thinking of doing a driveway oil and filter change myself , Going to lift car at the front with two trolley jacks one each side of the car and then put on axle stands or ramps to allow me access to the sump plug and oil filter .

Question I’ve got though is surely if the car is raised at the front but the back wheels are still on the ground , will all the old oil drain out ? I’d have thought the car would have to be level to allow all the old oil to drain out or am I wrong ? Thanks in advance for any replies.

My car has an STD 😭

The STD light on my car came on this morning. I called my mechanic and he said that he cannot treat an STD. So I called my PCP, and she straight up laughed at me. Never going back there!

Of course, when I confronted my car about it, she denied being unfaithful, but how else could this happen? I know I’m clean! But I can’t stand to leave her, so I want to get her some help. Which certifications should I look for to know if a mechanic can treat an STD?

Help Needed! Hit a curb and car feels weird.

So I drive a 2017 IS300 AWD.

I ended up hitting a curb laterally on my front driver side wheel and my steering wheel became off-center 25 degrees to the right immediately.

I went to the Lexus Dealer for an alignment and once I got my car back it just didn’t drive the same. So I looked at the alignment sheet they provided me and I noticed that my before alignment specs (after curb hit) all were in spec and except my left front toe which was -1.00 toe out. It was originally 0.03 which is perfect factory spec. My right side remained unchanged at 0.03.

Basically, the tech just adjusted my left toe back to 0.03.
When I drove my car, I noticed it was impossible for the car to track straight with the steering wheel center. I assumed it was just not locked straight and I went back and they visibly showed me that it was locked perfectly straight and I agree as well.

The car steering just wanders so much that I need to constantly make micro corrections left and right for it to drive straight. On an absolutely perfectly flat road which is rare to find, it will track straight. There is no clunking or play in the suspension either. The car also doesn’t pull on a flat road. It will only pull left and right when the road is uneven. The car lost its distinctive on center feel where I would feel that the steering wheel is center and the car would track straight. Now it’s different depending on the road.

How do I fix this??
