New Bmw E90 328xi

Hi, I’m a young student in mechanic, I just got myself a Bmw 328xi 2011 for a new daily since I’ve heard the N52 is a great engine. I’m jumping from a Kia spectra 5 2009 to this beauty I have now. I absolutely love it and I’m proud of it since it’s my first real “cool” car.

I’ve been going through though times for my mental health these last few months and I need something to work and put my attention on in hope to feel better. What could I add on it? I’ve been thinking about “converting” it to a 330xi by adding the three stage intake manifold. Also making it bi-color, black and white would be really clean. I would add a black m-style spoiler, black mags and black wrap for the headlights and backlights. I don’t know what to do for the exhaust tho, I want something that sounds good, but not too loud. What do you think?Anything else I could add? I’m open to every suggestions. Thanks!

First car at 16

I love this thing with my soul, it’s a 2009 Lexus GX470 but the V8 guzzles my gas but it’s worth it.

First car at 16!

1989 Honda Accord, genuinely fell in love with this car when I saw her on Facebook marketplace. Only 116000 miles and everything works great with just a few minor issues. Almost zero rust, the radio antenna still works and the original OEM radio is still in. She even has the original carb.

Help buying first car

I am looking to buy my first car, I have over 5k saved so I could buy this one in full. The car fax is clean and the battery was replaced in 2013. Would it be a good idea to buy it and have money saved to replace the battery again at some point? I am disabled and low income so I need a car that’s gonna last a long time with no serious issues.

The civic that carried me thru highschool

220k miles and a million problems. But overtime it taught me how to wrench and solve problems myself (with youtubes help). Sold after graduating to buy a 90s 4runner and i miss it everyday. Especially now that the 4runner is too inefficient to keep🥲

First car at 15 (hand me down from my mom and it's such a good vehicle compared to all of these people blowing their inheritance money and using daddy's money)

Also mods get a hold of your sub and get rid of the joke posts, they're annoying as heck

1st(technically 2nd) car at 17

1st car was a 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage Hatchback but I was more "borrowing" that car for the past year. I bought the mustang with my own money so pretty happy with it.

Tips on a feminine presenting girl getting a first car with no help?

What would you do if you’re basically a little girl looking to get a cheap car and absolutely under no circumstances can afford a LEMON.
- so far what I got is to go on the newest section on marketplace and look for NON car dealer posts, NOt in a bad area , preferably photos of the car in the driveway, female posters , under 100k miles
- I’m looking for Toyotas, Lexus, Acura,Hyundai’s etc from
The 2000s!
- look wise I prefer Lexus and Acura’s ! Obviously not the priority
- I’m also very nervous because I feel that the market is very oversaturated especially because of where I live I’m in Southern California ! Lots of people looking for great deals.

Hey everyone, I really need advice on getting my first car 😭

I check Facebook Marketplace every single day but I honestly don’t know where else I should be looking. Maybe Cars.com? Craigslist? OfferUp? Dealerships? I’m kind of overwhelmed and don’t have anyone knowledgeable helping me.

I’m very openly timid antisocial/shy and I don’t really have family to guide me through this. I have a dad but we aren’t close and he doesn’t know much about cars either. I’m trying to research on my own but it still feels really hard and obvious that I’m not a “car person.” I also worry because I’m a girl and I feel like sellers/dealerships can tell I’m inexperienced.

I need a car ASAP for independence/work/life stuff and I’m scared of getting scammed or ending up with a horrible payment like some people do.

Can you guys please give REALLY specific tips?
Like:
- Where should I actually be checking daily?
- How often should I check Marketplace?
- Best times to check for new listings?
- Red flags in listings/messages?
- How do you know if a car is overpriced?
- What mileage is too high?
- Should I avoid dealerships completely?
- How do I get a pre purchase inspection if I don’t know mechanics?
- What cars are reliable but still affordable?

Literally any advice helps because I feel very alone trying to figure this out 😭
