Buy from dwindling CT5V stock, or wait for 2027/28 model?

I am looking to buy a new ct5v using my GM supplier discount. These cars are hard to find in NY, I was told by a dealer that there's only ONE available in the entire state. Said dealer is willing to try a dealer trade to get a build I like here for me. They also stated that new builds can't be ordered from GM directly anymore.

At this point, with the CT5V nearing the end of production for the 2026 model year, would it be wise to wait for the next gen? Or should I go for it and jump through a few hoops to get one now?

Edited to specify I am not looking for a blackwing, just the regular V

Cue CarPlay?

I have a 2013 Cadillac ATS. And I’ve seen that some people have added CarPlay to the first-gen Cue system. Anyone have any idea how that would be possible?

plzzzzzzzz!!!help me

Hello,

I own a 2020 Cadillac CT5 Sport equipped with the digital rearview mirror (Camera Mirror).

Recently, moisture has developed inside the roof-mounted shark fin camera, so the image on the digital rearview mirror is no longer clear.

When I checked the parts catalog, I found that the camera is only listed as part of the complete shark fin antenna assembly, which is very expensive.

I have been trying to find the camera module by itself, but I found several different part numbers, including 84891664 and 84676845, and I’m not sure which one is correct.

Could you please tell me which part number is the correct camera for my vehicle?

Also, is this camera the same as the parking rearview camera or the side mirror camera, or is it a completely different camera?

Any information or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

2002 Cadillac Escalade

I have a 2002 Cadillac Escalade that randomly would not start after having absolutely zero issues. I came to the conclusion the starter went out so I replaced it, disconnected the battery as you should to do the install and got it all wrapped up in about 2 and a half hours from start to finish. After installing the new starter, it will now turn over (was not before) but it will not crank. I sprayed a very minimal amount of ether into the intake manifold to which it tried to actually start finally. I can hear my fuel pump when I turn the key, and have fuel pressure to the fuel rail. I have checked all the fuses and cannot seem to figure this thing out. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated

What is this part called?

My gf took hers through a carwash and it ripped this part off, so now we're looking for a replacement, but we keep finding the one between the door and the tire. I'm asking about part 6 on the black and white image.

This is not her car..

ATS LSD conversion

Hi,
Has anyone here converted an ATS with an open differential to an LSD?
I currently have the factory open diff and would like to swap to an LSD.
I’m mainly interested in knowing what’s required for the conversion — differential, axles, driveshaft, etc.
An aftermarket LSD carrier would also be an option if anyone knows of one that fits.
Welding the diff isn’t an option for me since the car is also my daily driver.
Thanks!

2025 Optiq — OnStar, nav, music, SOS all dead. Dealer won't give a loaner. Normal?

OnStar's been broken since June — no in-car wifi, SOS button doesn't connect. Dealer finally ordered a part, no ETA on when it arrives. Now they're telling me their policy is no loaner unless the car is "undrivable," and to just use my phone for maps in the meantime.

Car with a dead SOS system doesn't feel like a minor inconvenience to me — that's a safety feature I paid for. Anyone else deal with this? Did GM corporate override the dealer on a loaner, or am I stuck waiting it out?

CPO LYRIQ vs. CarMax/Carvana?

I’m looking for a used 2024 LYRIQ Luxury 2 or 3. I’d prefer CPO, but the CPO inventory is really limited, while CarMax/Carvana have much better selection and some cars that are exactly what I want.

How important do you think CPO is on a LYRIQ? Would you wait/compromise to get CPO, or buy the exact car you want from CarMax/Carvana with the remaining factory warranty?
Curious what other LYRIQ owners would do.
Or did?

Wife’s 2014 srx luxury

Hey all I'm seeking info on my wife's 2014 srx luxury trim 3.6L awd on Sunday I was cleaning it in and out before we go on a weekend trip.

I pushed the button to open it and it opened but then shut. It will open but not stay open and fights me to close back down.

I did the reset button thing but no help! Smh so here's a video of exactly what it's doing. But I don't want to buy the wrong part or shock.
I don't have a ton of time to get it fixed so asking what part would cause this failure?
Is it both shocks or just one?

Thanks

21 CT-4 V

Just picked up a CT4 V (non BW) and I was hoping SOMEONE had recommendations for where to find good aftermarket stuff for it (springs, exhaust, bolt ons, etc.)

Driving ability

If anyone here lives in NY and owns a Blackwing , please weigh In….
Strongly considering a ct4v BW, I currently live in NY, specifically in Westchester / New Rochelle area. I commute to Long Island 2x weekly (non rush hour) and Scarsdale. I know I love the car (test drove ) however, can’t help but wonder how much fun I will have as they say “it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow “
Am I going to be able to enjoy this thing ? Or am I just excited for a new toy that I won’t be able to use properly …

The STS-V has aged so well

10 years and 100,000 miles later and she still puts a smile on my face.. almost to 200k and still going strong :')

Only major repairs since getting it at 90k were the driveshaft, radiator and oil pan gasket and diff bushing

Need help with potential mods on my xts

I bought a 2016 Xts, and I want to mod it mostly cosmetically, i haven’t seen much builds for inspiration, i was thinking of getting started with the front grill, wheels, and changing to the chrome Cadillac emblem. I know there isn’t a lot of aftermarket support, so I thought I’d reach out and see what ideas people might have

Heads up display 2026 Escalade

Does anyone know if you are supposed to be able to see the housing for the heads up display reflecting onto the windshield? When the sun comes into my windshield at certain angles I can see the housing and wires reflecting onto the windshield. I would just think for the amount of money these cars cost, they could put a better housing or make it look neater. I just got my Escalade back from the dealer and they checked the heads up display and said that’s normal.
