Trying to grow my fantasy TBR and looking for the books/series that every fantasy fan should experience at least once. The kind of stories that made you stop and think "Yep… this is why I love fantasy.”

Could be classic fantasy, modern stuff, grimdark, epic series, standalones, trilogies it doesn’t matter to me. What are the fantasy “rite of passage” reads in your opinion?
