I don't know what she means. Interested but avoidant?
I randomly saw just a stunningly beautiful girl on Facebook, I'm not one to just add and flirt. I know that with social media and pretty women I'm just one of hundreds of guys sending a message. But this one was different and it seemed like she likes a lot of stuff I like. She actually responded and we hit it off. The next day we had a video call which I think went well. We continued to text some and she went silent. I thought maybe she wasn't interested and ghosted. I text a couple times with no reply. Waited a day and send a message trying to see if she still was interested. She assured me she was, thinking I'm attractive and funny. But she just wasn't in a spot where she was replying to anyone, just had a lot on her plate she told me "I don’t want to go full steam ahead when I’m not really even on solid footing".
We text a little more but not much. The next day I asked her if she would like to watch a movie with me over discord, we live a ways apart and I thought this would work out as a low stakes casual thing to just chat a little and enjoy the company. She replied with "Hiiiii I’m kind of in an avoidant stage right now! I’m interested but I also don’t want to waste your time or frustrate you ". And we didn't talk the rest of the day, that was yesterday and I haven't reached out again.
Can someone help me? I'd like to be able to see where this goes but I do not want to be pushy or her to just lie to make me feel better.
