I’m planning a trip to Abisko to experience the northern lights and I’m trying to decide on the best month to go. I’ve read that both March and September are equinoxes, which means the nights are the longest. If I combine this with a new moon, I have a higher chance of seeing the northern lights.

I know that March has the longest nights, which could increase my chances of seeing the northern lights. However, I’ve also heard that September has better or warmer weather, which might be a factor in my decision.
