Hi All, I've recently returned to piano after a 45 yr hiatus and am working with a teacher to rebuild skills and fill in gaps in my previous music education, like learning theory and mastering scales and arpeggios without crossing over. My teacher has assigned the C major arpeggio for the next 2 weeks and would also like me to start learning a second piece in addition to the one I'm currently working on (Beethoven Bagatelle Op 33 #1, E-flat major).

He has proposed I look for something in a slower tempo, like adagio, lento, or largo, and from later in the romantic period, such as Chopin, Brahms, or Liszt, perhaps a nocturne or ballade. I would like to combine his suggestion with something in C-major that includes arpeggios, and something without or only a few octave stretches if at all possible since I have small hands and a strained muscle in my right thumb at the moment. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! It might not be possible to hit all of my specifications, and it doesn't have to be limited to the 3 composers I've mentioned.
